As half the passengers had boarded, someone announced that we had to have everyone boarded and seated in 5 minutes, or else the crew would time out, and we’d have to stay in WPalm. This set off a frenzy, with seated passengers yelling at the people boarding to hurry!! I was told by the pilot while exiting in LGA, that we made it by 30 seconds! It could’ve been handled so much better!"

Punti negativi: "Every staff person we had contact with made us feel as though we were not a priority in any way. We were constantly given misinformation. Our flight was two hours out when it was returned to our departure city due to a passenger health issue. It was not properly explained to us and we were in no way compensated for the inconvenience. Once back at our departure city (Miami) we sat there for an hour or more. They chose to feed us during that delay. Due to this we missed our connecting flight in Istanbul to Rome. This also caused us to miss our transportation from Rome to Compania, Italy. We were told by airline staff on the plane that we would be put up in a hotel over night. When we arrived at the terminal we had no idea where we should go or who we should see. Every representative we spoke to told us to go somewhere else. Truth is it felt like no one we spoke to knew what to tell us or really cared at all. One representative told us we were not entitled to overnight accommodations. We insisted we were told we were and it literally took hours on the ground to straighten the problem out and get to a hotel. By then it was so late that we only got a couple hours of sleep and had to be back at the airport for our next flight. The second flight from Istanbul to Naples, Italy was better. I do not think I would use this airline again. My entire party got an overall sense that people were untrained and lacking in any form of customer service. Not the flight attendants but all the people we had to deal with on the ground. My age plus health issues and walking problems made everything more difficult. We were sent al over the massive airlines terminal with all our carry on luggage only to find when we got to where we were going we had been sent to the wrong place. On top of all this each of us had to pay a VISA fee to get out of the terminal and to the hotel. Just a total nightmare. Prior to taking this flight I contacted Turkish Airlines and spoke to a customer service person and explained that I needed to take with me a small portable oxygen concentrator that I would need to use while in Italy. I needed to know the procedure for bringing that equipment on the airline. I was told that although he could not answer that question He would pass it on to his supervisors and I would receive an answer via email prior to my flight. I never received a response and as a result did not have my needed oxygen while abroad."

A l'enregistrement à punta cana il a fallut négocier pendant une heure et demander à parler à un responsable car la personne voulait nous faire payer nos deux bagages en soute 200 dollars alors qu'ils étaient compris dans notre réservation. Cela nous a fait perdre du temps avec notre petite fille de 3 ans. L'escale de 2h à New York est trop courte, les files d'attente sont très très longues pour le contrôle des passeports et aussi pour la douane. Il a fallut négocier avec beaucoup de personnes pour demander à passer devant, et aux États-Unis cette pratique n'est pas du tout appréciée, et tout ca avec ma fille dans les bras. Nous sommes arrivés 30 min avant le décollage àla porte d'embarquement, juste au moment de d'embarquer, mais le vol a finalement été retardé d'une heure. Et enfin nous avions demandé à été placés ensemble côté hublot, à l'enregistrement on nous a dit oui évidemment mais au premier vol on était même pas à côté ( il a fallut négocier encore une fois) et au deuxième nous étions dans la rangée du milieu. Bref ce voyage retour à été très stressant et épuisant !

On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

The flights were supposed to be with SAS only, but I was mailed by United, requiring documentations for international travel. Before contacting the customer service, I thought this may have been spam/scam... However it was impossible to do an online check in from all SAS, United and Kayak websites. I was therefore forced to check in at the airport with United (again, I wouldn't have known if I had not contacted CS). What really managed to piss me off is that at the time of the check in, not only United was not able to check me in with SAS, but the first flight was also arriving in Chicago at the terminal 1,with the second departing from terminal 5! These terminals are at the opposite poles of the airport (need a shuttle, because it's impossible to walk) and I had to check in and pass through the security again, with a 1:30 hour layover on a transatlantic flight!! Furthermore, Kayak HID THESE DETAILS UNTIL I FOUND OUT AT THE CHECK IN AT THE TIME OF DEPARTURE. I was lucky enough to catch that flight, but only because there was no line at the security. In my case I wasn't traveling for tourism, but I was on my way back to my home country, on the grace period of my US visa. I think it's easy to figure out how many issues losing that flight could have caused to me... I also think this is a deeply irregular way of selling tickets and that kayak should have accounted liable for the issues I may have ran into.

I was finally able to check in online the afternoon of the flight, but no seats were left, so had a boarding pass with no seat assignment. Got to the gate and they sent me and about 25 other folks with no seat assignment to wait for a "colleague" who finally appeared after almost everyone else had boarded. I did get a seat, but I was one of the last to board. They ran out of salmon dinners, so the stewardess plopped a chicken dish in front of me--didn't eat since I am vegetarian. The stewardess did give me a free mini bottle of wine, which is normally free on Lufthansa. I am just not all that impressed with SAS. I will try to avoid them in the future."

I still have bruises."

I find it surprising that you dont at least provide a meatless option, or at least stow away a few extra vegetarian meals. Also, i have never seen that option during booking, nor have i ever recieved an email to consider meal options. Overall, the accessability of meatless food is extremely disappointing."

Punti negativi: "Random additional security check AT THE GATE in Dublin was unnecessary and poorly organized, as it required my 18 y/o daughter to go all the way back to passport control; they were already closing the gate when the associate brought her back; extremely stressful and unnecessary! In my experience when random additional check is required it is done at security checkpoint, never at the gate."
Punti positivi: "Despite being standard economy class, the seats were comfortable, the packed plan didn't feel terribly packed, and the food was surprisingly decent. Boarding was quick and easy, and there was plenty of overhead luggage space. The roughly 8 hour flight from Dublin to JFK was much more pleasant than I had expected."
Punti negativi: "The power plug under my seat didn't work. (Thankfully, I had a charger battery with me, so I didn't run out of juice.)"

Punti negativi: "The plane was sitting at the gate for at least three hours before we boarded, and then they found a problem to fix. We took off almost an hour late. There wasn't enough barbecue chicken for everyone so they ran out halfway through the flight, so I had no choice but to eat the other option which was really unappealing. When we landed we couldn't go anywhere because it took 20 minutes to get a paramedic on board for another traveler."
Punti negativi: "I was very uncomfortable during this flight. My seat was broken. I couldn't push it back at all so I was stuck sitting up right the whole flight. My friend next to me in the aisle seat had a broken seat as well. Except, instead of it not going back her kept going back all the way so the individual behind her could had a seat that was in her face basically. I was really disappointed with the flight. I was so exhausted and in so much pain from sitting like that the whole time."

Punti negativi: "Menu! Choice was either chicken or beef. To accommodate the wide range of palates out their more choices or a better combination of choices, such as chicken or pasta with vegetables, beef or rice and beans etc..."
Punti positivi: "Our return trip from Shannon to JFK was the best flying experience we have ever had. I requested an aisle seat for my 6'5" husband and we were given the emergency aisle. The flight crew was outstanding- Ashley and Hazel could not have been nicer to us. My TV set was broken in my seat but I did not care as I had a lot of reading to do. It was an outstanding return trip from a wonderful time in Ireland"

Punti negativi: "Needed to add my infant son to return leg of flight. He did not need a seat (lap infant) just a ticket. Neither JustFly or Aer Lingus (Dublin) could/would do this. Each said it was the others job. Eventually Aer Lingus office in New York added my son to flight. There seems to be a disconnect / confusion between airline and booking company regarding this matter."
