I could not check my luggage when I arrived at the airport. I had to sit with my luggage for 3 hours just waiting to check it. So I could not enjoy the 7 hours I had before my flight - to walk around the city, or even shop in the airport. I could not select a seat when I checked in on line - even though it was 20 hours before my flight. Even though I was traveling alone I could only get a middle seat. There were no non-meat food choices for the meal. We could not hear the announcements at boarding - no one knew what was being said."

We were there for over one hour. at one point, we were moving into a long tube like structure where we stayed for at least 30 minutes while others were boarding from an different ramp. the communication was non existent and we were made to feel like prisoners. actually, we were prisoners."

The food was good: an unbelievable improvement from the previous flight (I recommend the chicken). The ICE system was impeccable. It had a wide selection of movies, TV shows, and games as well as access to the news. However, the flight's greatest perk my have been the compassionate crew. They were very helpful and friendly. They offered many accommodations, like a pizza and photo, all for free. Overall, the flight went very well."

Also, when boarding finally began, the line was extremely long and moved very slowly. That was the only event that marred the flight to JFK."

She never smiled, talked nor look at us. Not really a kind service I would say. Never had such a odd experience, usually people doing that job have much more attention to these type of details"

Punti negativi: "In my flight from Milan (MXP) to New York (JFK), I had a seat on 63C (aisle seat). A woman seating on my sided asked me to change my seat with her son who was on 74F (middle seat). I said no, because it would be a seat several rows back an in the middle. I had paid more to have the aisle seat, so it did not make any sense to change to a middle seat. However, some minutes later, an Emirates employee asked me again if I could change the seats. He created such an awkward situation, that it was impossible to do not change to the other seat. I tried to argument that he was giving me no other option, but to accept the change. In summary, I had a good seat due to the higher fee that I had paid, but I was transferred to the back in a middle seat. I thought Emirates was a serious company. As I told their employee, I do not plain to fly with them anymore."

I was late by 10 mins getting to the ticket counter and Emirates gave my seat away. I then proceeded to attempt to rebook and the Emirates agent advised they are sold out for the next 3 days and have no flight alternatives to offer. I contact flight network and the person I spoke proceeds to tell me the same thing and there is nothing they can do for me. Basically that I would need to purchase a whole new ticket on another airline as Emirates doesn't have availability. Which I did. Now I'm looking online and Flight Network has my exact flight on Emirates available at same price I paid for my ticket. But now my new ticket purchased to get home is non-refundable. I'm out over 1000 dollars because of bad info. This has been a horrific experience and after being loyal to Kayak for years.... I will never use the site again."

Punti positivi: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Furthermore I couldn’t use the check-in kiosks because my name was listed as Reidmr instead of Reid, which meant that my boarding pass did not match my passport. Overall this caused unnecessary delays that were compounded by the fact that I couldn’t use my TSA precheck. My main problem on the plane was that I had to struggle to get water served to me. It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

Would have less waiting for people in front of you to get settled. Wish the last snack had a piece of fruit or something with a bit more healthy aspect."

Please stop using the Boeing 767 jets and only use the Boeing 777 for flights across the Atlantic. I would like to fly American more frequently but not if I think I'm going to get stuck with the planes from the 1980s where there's no personal TV, no place to plug in my phone or electronics to charge unless you carry around a car charger, which I definitely don't, and there's no WiFi on those planes either."

All that was great of them I was aware of being in an upgraded seat. No complaints, but it stung a little because I was deeply aware of the reinforcement of class. The small, extra comforts were wonderful and I wish everyone had them while risking their lives together over the ocean - especially the extra room At times, on the way over I felt a claustrophobic panic. But to stay positive, they were kiind, sympathetic, funny, sweet. I appreciate them."

Better communication would have been easy to do to keep us informed."

The gentleman that helped us was lovely but system issues kept us at check in a very long time and unfortunately that together with the crazy insanely long distance to our gate- then only to take a bus- we did not have time to pick up any food or make any stops which we counted on and had arrived 2.5 hours ahead of time to check in to allow for."

Seat Assignment: I went to Malpensa airport the night before to assign seat, but there was no American Airlines gate agent nor partner airline that could help me...Even though this was AA199 purchased through British Airways. The B.A. check in said that they couldn't help"

I inserted it on the online form multiple times until I was blocked from doing so, and there was no link to communicate online in real time with anyone who could solve the problem. This was extremely stressful and unnecessary, as well as time consuming. It was not how I wanted to spend my final night in Italy. Furthermore, I had to wake up at 4 am to get a very early bus to the airport in order to check in early enough in person. NOT cool. The food was mediocre. The entertainment options were about the worst I've ever seen. My seat hardly went back at all."

Their personality plus attitudes and attention to detail reflected on the overall image of the airline, and did not make me feel like a second rate citizen in a second class seat. I've noticed over the last decade-plus that this has changed. I've been rudely spoken to for reaching for a napkin off the cart as I was not given one with my drink. My elbow was hit by the cart as it moved from back to front of isle, and no apology followed. The garbage was collected moving back to front, so I had to get the attention of the attendant after she flew by me. I thoroughly researched the size of the suitcase required prior to flying, and bought a new one to meet the requirements. My suitcase did not fit on American Airlines. Why am I bringing up American Airline? When getting to the airport in Milan, Italy, 2 1/2 hours prior to flight departure, I approached the British Airway counter. As no one was there, I proceeded to believe I was too early, so I had breakfast. I again approached the British Airway counter and still no one was there. On my way to the bathroom, I found the flight board and followed the directions. I searched for British airlines at the gate I was directed to, but was unable to find it. I asked an attendant, and I was directed to the American Airline gate. It was very confusing. It would have been nice if there was a sign at the British Airways counter directing its customers to American Airlines."

Punti positivi: "Everything went according to the timetable, boarding was on-time and we even arrived a bit earlier than scheduled, so I can't really fault the service of the pilots, the cabin crew or the ground operations team. Food wasn't exactly stellar, but clearly a lot better than on most European flights operated by larger companies (Lufthansa, KLM, Air France etc.). The aircraft itself was clean and looked fairly new and well maintained"
Punti negativi: "The seating was absolutely HORRENDOUS. Even though I'm nearly 6'3" (close to 1.90m), I generally never complain about seating space or legroom, even on low cost flights. This particular TAP aircraft, however, despite looking quite new, had some of the most cramped seating ever. Additionally, the trays were minuscule (you could barely place the entire food tray the service during the flight, let alone have another drink at the same time on the tray). Also, on the inbound flight (this was the return one), the seats were fitted with a very simple and clever tablet-holding mechanism, so you could easily watch something on your table while eating your food (from a similarly small tray table). The seat back pockets do not have any material/fabric on the sides, so stored items could easily slip out sideways from the pocket. Shame to have such a good in flight service and to be a punctual airline if you're going to carry your passengers cramped like cattle in seats 'rivalling' the ones on Ryanair flights on 4-hour long journeys."

Well less than 24 hrs before we were scheduled to fly out, the exact same day, they cancel our flight! After a lot of phone calls and wait times we were booked onto TAP AIR PORTUGAL. Easy check in, my carry on was great, entertainment was on point, food was good (first European trip), crew was nice, plane was huge; just a good experience overall. I will definitely fly with them again."

Siamo arrivati alle 2 de mattino a casa. Viaggio STRAZIANTE PER COLPA DELLA TAP."
