Punti negativi: "I was asked to check my carry-on. I have used this carry-on more than 50x without an issue. I have even put it in the smaller compartments on smaller Bombardier jets. I don't have an issue with being asked to check luggage, but I resent being asked when others are allowed to take their carry-on onto to the plane without issue. Right in front of me while I was waiting for a baggage tag, others were being checked in with carry-on equal to mine and allowed to take it onto the plane. I can only surmise that my ticket limited me to one bag onto the plane, although they would not tell me this. This was not clear when I booked the ticket nor when I checked in on-line. I had a 40 minute connection in Zurich so was very concerned that my luggage would not make it. Luckily, it did make it to my next stop. Swiss Air seems to have different restrictions than other airlines which I have encountered before. I take ownership that I should be aware of a tickets restrictions but this was a multi-leg trip (5). However, I will tend to avoid Swiss air in the future, to avoid having to research their unique restrictions."

I tried to communicate with the Lot&Found office in Vienna airport as I had 2h40 minutes in connection time and it was enough time to get me back the hat, unfortunately nothing was really done from the airport staff to get me my hat and made to me possible continue traveling with my hat. I spoke to two managers, the name I could share with you if you need. The Found office registered my black hat and the plastic box under the number F2018/000682. In this situation I ask your offices to deliver my hat and the plastic box to Lviv airport as sson as possible as this is a special hat for my daily prayers. So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

I did not enjoy the food."

In Dublin we were diverted from JFK to Hartford due to "mechanical problems" and told we'd be met at the gate and provided ground transportation to JFK. Approximately 30 others going to either JFK or Boston were told the same thing and joined us on a half empty flight to Hartford. When we landed there was no representative at the gate, no ground transportation provided, and no effort to help us. A little investigation on cell phones revealed both the Boston and JFK flights left on time (and I'm guessing full). Needless to say the customers were quite upset. Some even raised their voices which caused the kid representatives of Aer Lingus to call the state troopers (really). When the troopers did nothing the Aer Lingus reps locked themselves in their office rather than deal with their customers. After 2 hours of waiting for the promised ground transportation we gave up, rented a car, and drove ourselves to our destination at our own expense. We were never provided even a free drink. Horrible. Lies upon lies upon lies. I'll never consider flying with them again"

Flight was delayed which was lucky, as no one could get through the lines in time. 25 minute wait upon landing for a jet bridge to be attached, then another 50 minutes for baggage to appear. All in all it was more than a 7 hour process to fly Venice to Dublin! There may have been some sort of internal system problems, but they were never mentioned which really just led to lots of frustrated passengers throughout the whole experience."

Punti negativi: "The entire experience with Aer Lingus from Venice to Dublin was just plain bad. Firstly, we were never able to check in online. From the 30 hour check in notice through to the time of arrival at the airport, we were never able to check in online. We arrived at the Venice airport more than 2 hours before our flight time. We saw on the outside board where to go to check in, but when we got there we were told that was not the correct spot (which we had decided would be likely due to the lack of signage/conflicting signage). Someone tracked down that we should be at different line (of 2 check-in desks) which had no signage for Aer Lingus. We were in line for over 45 minutes with only 4 families ahead of us to be checked in. The line behind us was horrendously long and we knew they'd either delay the flight or no one would make it. We were right. Our flight ended up being delayed for well over an hour due to the late arrival of the plane, and moreso the "challenges incurred during check in" for a majority of the passengers (many of whom we noticed were also there well in advance of 2 hours before the flight). Once on board things were generally fine until we realized that we would have to pay for water onboard. That could be my bad for not realizing discount airlines really meant we're not even going to provide complimentary tap water. That boggles my mind when the need for hydration on planes is common knowledge. This flight leg was the worst of my entire trip though none of my trip was particularly enjoyable, and I will not fly with Aer Lingus again."
