Punti positivi: "I traveled with my wife and twin sons who turned two last month. It was our first time to fly with the boys, and we were nervous about the flight for this reason. Thanks to ANA's staff both on the ground and in the air, everything went very smoothly. When we arrived at Haneda Airport (around 1:30pm), we went to the Special Assistance counter to get a stroller. The staff was friendly and patient, and didn't rush us at all. (It took a little while to get our things in order.) I was surprised to learn that we could check in from there, drop off our checked luggage and receive boarding passes, as well as an airport stroller. In addition, the boy who was awake at the time received an ANA airplane clip. We didn't get to the gate in time for pre-boarding. I was dismayed to find out that we'd have to take a bus to the aircraft. We had the maximum number of carry-on bags, plus two babies, only one of whom was in a carrier, and we learned that the stroller couldn't go on the bus. A gate agent brought our carry-ons onto the bus. She found priority seats for us and a place nearby to fit a bag that couldn't fit on one of our laps. On board, the cabin attendants were attentive and friendly, and gave toys to the boys. When we arrived at Hagi-Iwami Airport, two of them even carried all of our carry-on bags off the plane for us. (They also helped with our carry-on luggage upon returning to Tokyo. In fact, we had forgotten to reserve a stroller for when we deplaned, and a flight attendant tried to find one near the gate, to no avail.) When I think about all the positive experiences we had in a span of about three and a half hours, I am amazed at all the different people who helped to make our journey easier. I cannot imagine it happening in my home country or on most airlines I have flown."

People queue up, then they swivel the pole round so I'm in the wrong queue now. Try to move, lose place in queue, they swivel it back the way it was... Ecco, Austrian semplicemente non lo sa. Il volo, già in ritardo di mezz'ora - strano - all'altezza di Graz deve rientrare a Vienna per guasto, dicono, all'aria condizionata. Ci dicono che ci daranno informazioni al gate. Può capitare, naturalmente. Solo che: - le informazioni non le danno al gate, ma allo Starbucks dell'aeroporto, senza avere aspettato e neanche avvertito tutti i passeggeri - ci dicono che nonostante i mercatini natalizi ci hanno trovato comunque un hotel, facendolo un po' pesare, mentre è loro dovere, siccome il volo è ritardato al giorno dopo. Peccato che l'hotel è a 120 km e loro non hanno trovato il bus per il trasferimento (incidentalmente, anche questo è da norma di legge un loro dovere...) - alla fine come assistenza in termini di generi di conforto commisurata alla durata del ritardo, 10 ore, il tutto si è ridotto ad una bottiglietta d'acqua e un kit toilette per il mattino. In ragione della distanza degli hotel disponibili siamo stati invitati pressantemente a passare la notte nel terminal, ma: - nessuna assistenza. Dopo i controlli di sicurezza neanche una bottiglietta d'acqua, neanche un voucher colazione, neanche qualche coperta o cuscino per dormire meglio sulle scomodissime sedie/divano. E neanche uno scusate. - nessuna reazione alla possibilità di apertura della business giunge: è chiusa e non la riapriamo per voi. Neanche per farvi dormire un po' meno peggio. - nessuna specifica informazione ai passeggeri sulla evoluzione della situazione - siamo stati abbandonati a noi stessi, in sostanza Violazioni multiple e ripetute del regolamento CE 261/2004. Ma pagheranno, eh, se pagheranno..."

When boarding, I like to see when passengers are called in groups relating to distant seats in the plane such that they do not step over each other during luggage placement. That is more comfortable than let the crowd enter randomly. 2. I notice people enter the cabin with 2, even 3 pieces of luggage. Even though each one has proper dimensions, they overload the overhead compartments and it is hard for everybody to place his/her belongings in a suitable way. 3. The rows in the airplane seems to have gotten closer ti each other. It is not the airlines fault, except perhaps when choosing whose airplanes to buy...but again, there are only two major contenders in that segment. For overseas flights, it is pretty uncomfy. 4. Lastly, unboarding the plane could also be performed (enforced by the crew) to be in a more civil fashion rather than haveing5 a stampedo - again calling separate grouos of rows in the name of fairness, or simply vacating it row by row from the front to back."

At that time, we had already checked in and received our boarding passes, as well as checking in 3 bags while we were traveling with a large group. There was no way we wanted to volunteer our seats, especially since we had a transfer flight to catch. We clearly stated we did NOT want to volunteer our seats at the ticket counter. No staff notified us until we were about to get on the plane to board. The flight supervisor was very rude and unprofessional, offering us no alternative solutions. I was really disappointed with such a grievous mistake by the airline, and I would not recommend flying Austrian Airlines unless it was absolutely the only airline available. They need to fix their processes for authorizing when they volunteer a passenger's seat. This caused our group a lot of stress and almost became a logistical nightmare."

I paid extra money when I reserved the tickets in the USA to make sure I am on the same plane as the other three families that i wanted to be with as a group. They had reserved their tickets and I got the flight numbers and when I reserved my booking I paid extra to be on the same airplane as the rest of the group. My plan worked going to Vienna and to Cairo (although one of the planes were delayed 3 hours which ruined our stay in Vienna) but on the way back from Cairo to LA, I couldn't be with the group because I left 2 hours early and arrived in LA 2 hours late. I pleaded that I came with a group but they said I have a different booking so they couldn't honor keeping me on the same plane as the group. I am very disappointed and will avoid my future travel with Austrian airline"

Flight was smooth and uneventful. Good movie choices. Bathroom was clean and nearby. Plane seemed newer Boeing model. The City Airport Transport (CAT) train from the Vienna airport to city center was fantastic. We were able to check our luggage and get boarding passes where we boarded the CAT at the metro station and did not have to wait in line at the airport...wonderful system!"

A significant number of us had SSSS on our boarding passes which required us to go through a second, more thorough, TSA security procedure. We had to remove shoes, take electronics including phones from cases, have purse contents gone through by personnel, be screened for residue, etc. Due to this process and the fact that we were not advised to stand in the line, a number of passengers went through the second security check at the last minute which caused our takeoff to be delayed. The pilot made up the time during the flight. I ordered low sodium meal which ended up to be the same food at both meals which was a disappointment - pasta with tomato, eggplant sauce."

Then, they try to board their connecting flight to Chicago, and they tell my kids they overbooked the flight and they can't travel for at lest 2 more days. If they had to remove someone from the plane, how in the hell do they choose a 14 and 15 year old traveling alone to stay in Abu Dhabi for 2 full days! I'm livid!"

CSA has ZERO ground presence at Ohare. They gave us poorly-worded, vague instructions while still on board the aircraft for how to proceed once we disembarked-- and then their crew went off to hotels and rested, while most of the passengers stood stranded and confused in the airport terminal with NO assistance whatsoever. We were NEVER formally told when to reboard, or when our flight might take off again for JFK. We were NEVER told what kind of arrangements would be available for passengers to rest and recover-- and we landed around midnight, mind you. Passengers shared info with one another that they gleaned from 3rd party websites-- we all helped each other out, because CSA was useless. I recognize that it was an unusual situation due to extreme weather but it was indicative of the kind of customer service one can expect. Which is, not much."

I showed them my boarding pass from less than 48 hrs before on the same airline... they looked bewildered. Boarding was the usual "every man for himself". Zones? Classes? Awards members? Not in Shenzhen..."

I run the same itinerary in reverse on the way home in a week."

I contacted the customer service who replied within a day and everything was fixed. Now, I've been travelling a good amount to China and US, so far the food that are good is xiamen airlines. It's healthy, not greasy, and my stomach didn't hurt."

Punti negativi: "Flight was Shanghai to Fuzhou, 10 hour layover and Fuzhou to JFK. Our flight from Shanghai to Fuzhou was delayed for 3 hours for "inclement weather" - it was clear in Shanghai. Flight company communicated to progressive, who the flight was booked through, that the flight would be an hour late, so I received a text saying new departure time would be an hour later. This was false. After that hour the only messages we were getting at the airport were "flight is delayed, new departure time will be announced later". We arrived in Fuzhou 3 hours later, at 0300. The bus ride to the hotel provided by the airline is one hour each way, and our connecting flight was 0900, so it was a waste of time to try to get to the hotel. This means we just stayed in the airport all night and boarded our next 15 hour flight with no sleep, no shower and nothing to eat. Customer service for flight would announce turbulence every 3 minutes, even after plane was having turbulence for 10-15 minutes. This freezes entertainment. Etc etc. many other small disorganized things as well."

Punti negativi: "As everyone was lining up at the gate to board, a guy came out yelling at everyone is Chinese. I have no idea what he said but it didn't sound good. We sat on the plane for 1.5 hr waiting to depart. An announcement was finally made that there was some kind of issue with air traffic, we ended up almost 2 hrs delayed. The volume on the media device in front of me was not working. The seats were terribly uncomfortable, my butt was hurting after the first hour."
