When we finally got to the front of the line the woman said we had to pay for our checked baggage elsewhere and then come back for the boarding passes. Unheard of elsewhere. The people in the office where you pay for checked baggage took their time and chatted and had no sense of urgency. The first woman we spoke to apparently filled out the form incorrectly. We had to rush to get to the plane and we barely made it through long security lines. We almost missed the plane due to the lack of early information and check in, the cumbersome payment process, etc. It was the worst check in process ever."

I waited in line for two hours before speaking to a representative. Was made to feel like it was my fault I hadn't worked things out while waiting in line-"didn't you receive an email!?" I was told no other options except to leave the next day. I pulled up many other flights out of Venice that would get me home in time and was told that there simply were no other options. The real explanation was that Swiss didn't want to pay out to get me home in time. I had to pay more money to get back into the city rather than sit in airport for 12 hours."

This is completely unacceptable. I have received no communication at all from Lufthansa to explain why our bags were not loaded onto the plane, even though we saw them out the window, on the cart, next to the plane, before door closure. After arguing with KLM for many hours, they finally booked her on a flight the following day, but refused to put her up in a hotel for the night, or compensate her for the trouble. Completely irresponsible behaviour from KLM. Will never fly with them again."

Punti negativi: "On a four+ hour layover in Madrid, somehow they managed to miss transferring my single piece of luggage... Not a great start to getting to New York. The boarding process in Madrid was insane as well - I recognize the need to validate that all your passengers have been vetted and have the correct documentation, but stop the insane segregation of those passengers that are going to the USA behind a fenced off section of the international area of the terminal, in an area that has no services available. Surely there are better ways of handling this kind of a boarding situation - presumably at the initial check-in stage or even with a more thorough check at boarding - it would really not have added all that much time to do such a check at the final boarding gate as opposed to the extra 30 seconds prior to entering the segregation zone. As to the airport - STOP THE BS of pushing everybody to the gates THROUGH the entire duty-free shop. For some people, this is a torture due to many factors- for me, the smell of strong perfume (which there was plenty of) can be a very strong migrane trigger. For others, the sigh of all the bottles of alcohol (think recovering alcoholics) can be a very damaging situation. There is no reason to force all your passengers to have to walk through the duty free shop; this is just a very messy and unethical way to try to get more revenue from your clients."

It was a negative experience because as,a paying customer I always expect good service to say the least."
