Boarding was very disorganized, no announcements were being made, flight attendants were simply holding up signs at chest level which were completely blocked by the crowd."

Finding where to go was difficult for someone that does not know Chinese."

Punti negativi: "I can't understand why I was booked with an impossibly tight connection. It's a huge airport, with multiple security checkpoints with long lines. I had an hour between flights, and the first flight landed just five minutes late. The gate for the second flight had already closed by the time I cleared the first security checkpoint. It would have been completely impossible to make it to the gate on time. Turkish put me up in a hotel, etc., for the night, and there were dozens of people in similar situations. But the airline shouldn't offer connections that are totally impossible."

Both our US flights were cancelled ( BWI to JFK and PHL to DCA). For JFK, they were able to rebook us on a British airlines flight but arriving at our Athens destination much later. We sacrificed a day of sightseeing because of this. For return to DCA, they could find no alternative option same day, only a possible next day in late morning. We opted to take the train home. Needless to say, we are not happy with AA stateside service

Everything about this flight was excellent. Great service, friendly staff, smooth flight, great entertainment. I was traveling with children and the staff went above and beyond to make them comfortable during this flight. Probably the best service I have ever had on a flight.

Punti negativi: "Our flight from Chicago to Paris was managed by Finnair, but flown through American Airlines. This was the second disappointing flight on American Airlines. Our first flight was repeatedly delayed over three hours and then canceled. Everyone had to take a new flight the next day on the same plane which was scheduled to be fixed that morning prior to departure. We boarded the plane 45 minutes late and then were informed that the part needed to fix the plan had just cleared customs. After another hour of waiting on the plane, we taxied to the runway and the returned to the gate because another part needed to be fixed on the plane. We waited another hour and a half on the plane before finally taking off. Upon our arrival at Chicago O'Hare, we waited on the tarmac for 30 minutes before the ground crew parked our plane. Which brings me to this flight from Chicago O'Hare to Charles de Gaulle in Paris. Our flight was delayed for maintenance repeatedly for 2 hours and then a new plane had to be brought over. By the time we boarded we were almost four hours behind schedule due to a logbook problem once we boarded the new plane. The plane itself was small - the size of a domestic flight - and VERY cramped. On both of the flights we had no TVs in the headrest. This is something that I have always had in economy class on international flights. It was by far the most uncomfortable flight I have ever been on. Because of the delay, we had to reschedule one of our two connecting flights. I was assured that our bags would still arrive at our final destination. When we finally reached our final destination, we found out that our bags had been lost along the way - most likely because of the flight being rescheduled."

By the time we arrived in Singapore, it is almost 0340. Collected the luggages, clear custom and arrived home is almost 0500. There was absolutely no refreshment provided in between, and have to switch between gates which are far apart."

A bit cramped - the flight was 45 mins early which is usually welcome but not what you want when it leaves at 23:45 Addis time and arrives at 04:15 Rome time (5h30) instead of 5:05. Nothing to be done if you're travelling from Addis to Rome but if you're connecting as part of a longer journey, you may want to consider another option with an overnight long enough so you can sleep.

Better variety with meals

Surprise hour long stop in Cairo? It was the middle of the night, maybe we saw the pyramids? But otherwise a pretty rough experience.

Was so glad the the captain kept the air. It’s usually suffocating in there.

Reliable partner. I am sure I will get to my destination in time. Best airline - spacious leg room, good entertainment are used between Addis and shorter distances. Worst airline carriages - shorter leg rooms, torn seats, entertainment systems not working are placed between Addis and Dulles (very long routes).

Punti positivi: "I was a bit hesitant to fly Ethiopian Air for such a long flight (Dublin to LAX) however it turned out to be the best leg of multi-segment trip (all other flights were Aer Lingus or Delta and Ethiopian Air was far superior to both of those carriers). Flight attendants were friendly, the physical space was comfortable and spacious, the food was plentiful and delicious. Movies offered were relatively new and the IFE worked well. This flight is a continuation from Addis Ababa to LAX so when we boraded in Dublin most people were already onboard. It was a bit difficult to find space in the overhead bins but with a little rearranging of smaller packages by other passengers, we were able to fit our carry-ons in the overhead bin near our seats."
