I even brought my laptop to get some work done, but without a plugin to keep it charged, it died. In this day and age, for an overseas flight that is 10 hours long, to be this old old without updated features and without plugins, this is unacceptable. Flat out ridiculous. This plane was SO OLD and dingy. Just awful."

The staff had only the most necessary contact with us which was to serve and remove trays and garbage."

To top it off, the plane was very smelly; I got a headache because of it. We also had to return to the gate due to a technical issue and ended up leaving almost two hours late, which defeated the purpose of picking this flight over the rest as it was the one that was supposed to land in Milan the earliest. I will be careful next time I pick a flight to check what kind of airplane they're using. My assumption that international flights have the best airplanes seems to be wrong :(."

Punti negativi: "95% of my united flights are delayed. Today, they overbooked and asked for a volunteer. I did so and was offered a $1,500 compensation. Instead of 8:00, I would arrive at 11:00. I was very excited and patiently waited for the plane to board, so I coulD receive my new flight info. The flight is inevitably delayed, as it always is with this airline: I would have ended up missing my connection, so it seemed to work out well. However, they’re about to close the doors when the agent says “it’s not overbooked anymore” she gave me the option to so either get on that flight and wing it on my layover to find another flight, or go to Newark. But I needed to make a decision at that moment. The agent revoked the $1,500 because it was no longer overbooked and her demeanor immediately changed from The kind, accommodating agent she was when she needed me to give up my seat. She became short and rude. I got the last available seat because I was the last to board and was forced to check my bag because there was no more room. All because I was willing to change my travel plans. I get to my layover, and the earliest flight I could get would land at midnight with an additional layover. Oh! And the first class seat I was supposed to have on my second leg was not available. All of this was while I was seriously ill— throwing up, just wanting to be home. Honestly, I’ve never liked United. I constantly get over it, because it’s often the less expensive option. At this point, I am so sick of how they treat their customers, and their inability to depart on time. Last time I let them put me through this again."

Upon arrival to Seattle I went to the baggage claim area to find out that my luggage was already put through to the connecting airline to Vancouver. This resulted in me having to go through a long line of passengers to do all of the security checks again to enter the international airport gates. This almost resulted in me missing my connecting flight to Vancouver. The only saving grace was that the flight was delayed by another hour. 3. Changes made on my connecting flights were only given to me during my check in at Auckland. My previous booking was Auckland -San Francisco - Portland - Vancouver. The boarding pass I was given in Auckland omitted Portland and was changed to Seattle. I was never informed about this by United Airlines. 4. United Airlines website NOT allowing me to log in using my e-mail."

Arrivati trafelati al gate abbiamo scoperto che il volo era partito mezz'ora prima e si erano dimenticati di aggiornare lo stato del volo sui monitor......................... Dopo un'ora di attesa al banco dell'assistenza ci hanno mandati in hotel e dato il biglietto per il volo del giorno successivo. Parte dei pasti li abbiamo pagati di tasca nostra visti i pochi dollari di buono per mangiare (7$ per la colazione, 10$ per pranzo e 15$ per la cena, spendibili esclusivamente all'Holiday Inn dove la sola colazione a buffet costava 17$ + tasse..."

Never had an issue with Lufthansa. United customer service is a different story. I will try my best to avoid Lufthansa flights operated by United from now on."
