Stuff was extremely polite helpful and professional
The flight, plane and flight crew were great! The flight itself was not a problem at all. The HUGE issue was the mess at Heathrow airport. It was mass chaos, no direction or aisles for the connecting flights customers. Hundreds of people were trying to get through the boarding pass scanning to get to security. We were traveling with two children and after at least a 1/2 hour waiting on one side of the immigration hall, were told we had to move across the entire mass of people to another area. We stood there for another 1/2 hour without moving, then were told we had to move back to the first area because we had children! An employee looked at our boarding pass and told us we had missed the flight to go to the rebooking area. So we went there - stood for 1/2 hour again and then were told to go to a different area since we had children. We went to the next area - stood there for 45min, the employee looked at our boarding pass and told us the flight was delayed to go to the gate. SO we returned to the SAME ORIGINAL area, tried to explain to an employee we were told to go to that area. The employee became very upset and was rude, complaining that someone had moved the barrier? (We had not touched it - we were simply trying to follow directions) We finally made it to security after an hour wait, one of our bags had to be inspected. At this point we were resigned to missing the flight - we still had to get to Cgates in terminal 5. We did manage to make the flight. BUT someone needs to figure out the mass confusion in the immigration hall. If there are only a certain number of scanners available. perhaps indicating the lanes as soon as you enter the hall would be a solution?? Instead of having lines 50 people wide trying to funnel them down into 5-6 scanners? I understand staff shortages, short tempers, etc. I am not an airport export, but I imagine there are people that can determine a solution to this MAJOR problem at such a huge and busy airport. Surely determining a solution to better movement of customers would save rebooking costs, etc for the airlines.

Una storia… - Postazione 26F molto ristretto con poco spazio per i ginocchi, bracce, sotto la sedia davanti. sono nella media per altezza (182cm) ma mi sentivo scomodo.
The company did not know how to handle COVID bureaucracy efficiently or even correctly. We were asked to fill in four forms when only one is needed or even checked at all. I had to come in early to the airport, take a COVID test and then wait in the airport departure lobby for almost 1h to check in while waiting for the test results. Given that I spent a substantial amount to get a business ticket, I expected my time to be respected and to have business facilities made available. Once reached, the lounge now has an ordering system instead of self-service. The food was honestly disgusting, cold boiled rice without any salt and some "Spanish chorizo chicken" that had no chorizo and tasted like boiled chicken dropped in reheated tomato sauce. The plane departed one hour late. The business class seat was small, but comfortable. The company sent a boiler plate email apologizing which is something you appreciate the first time and it becomes grating when you get more than one per week.
I wasn’t allowed to get my boarding passes for connecting flights and almost missed my last flight.

I felt unbearably sick but couldn't bring myself to get out of my seat. There was no food, no entertainment, and definitely no entertainment. I hope to never fly Volotea again."

Then they made me pay 120 Euros and asked me to take the bag out to the plane. When I got to the plane the men working with the suitcases said my bag was more than capabale of fitting overhead and let me take it up. So they charged me 120 Euros extra for nothing and only did this once they saw my American Passport."

Beware!!! -They have a 20 kg or 44 lb weight limit instead of 50 and will charge you an additional 60 euro per bag of over 44 lbs! -Print your own boarding passes, they charge 20 euro per passenger if they have to print it at check in. -There are fees all over the place, it is a SCAM!"

We downloaded the app and the crew just scanned the app boarding passes. It was a huge relief."

In poco più di un'ora mi sono preso una sinusite durante il volo d'andata! Per di più il carrello delle bibite è passato dal retro dell'aereo verso il davanti per cui la maggior parte delle persone ha pensato che tornasse indietro per poter prendere un bicchiere d'acqua e invece niente. Una volta arrivati a prua dell'aereo hanno messo via il carrello."

The premium food options make coach anywhere else seem grand and there are no amenities like a pillow etc. I knew most of this when booking and I don't really drink or eat much but really this product is sub par. Still I have a seat which becomes a bed and for long haul flights that's what I want. So there is that. Also no on line checkin and never try to call the customer service.......it's very 1990's. Finally Norw Air had to sub contract out the equipment and crew on this Rome to NYC flight. I understand the sub contractors seat are better than NA's First Class seats. Stay Tuned.....this was my first R/T.......I may give it one more try and report back."
