Late arrivals caused extra stress on Connections and We had to run across the airport to catch the connecting flight. Flight getting delayed both ways makes me rethink about LH Flights. I will be careful and wont like to travel on LH ."

A few more signs in multiple languages at the security checkpoint would have made the line go faster. Same thing at the ticket check-in counter."

Once we reached the plane, the crew should have facilitated an orderly boarding through both doors rather than one. This was also a pretty empty flight and other passengers were utilizing their assigned seat as well as a whole other row and calling it theirs just because they set something on one seat. It didn't seem right that some of us had to stay in our little crowded area while others used up 4 seats and I don't mean for laying down."

After waking at 6 a.m. to catch my flight, I would have preferred plain yogurt with fruit or muesli, or at least a nutritious nutty bar such as the KIND brand. The boarding consisted of everyone standing in a disorganized line next to another long line so that I was not sure if I was in the right place and felt nervous as the time to board drew near. Staff did not seem to be communicating what was happening and were not circulating. I had to ask fellow passengers if I was in the right line and on the right bus. We pushed away from the gate early. This worked against me at the beginning of my vacation when I missed my flight by 5 minutes due to the disorganized nature of the Frankfurt airport and its massive size."

I am a priority pass member, which gets me into great lounges in other more sophisticated airports, but evidently I can't go into their little star alliance club. Why such a long layover in such a worthless airport??"

Punti negativi: "Although Air France sold me a return ticket from Zurich to Edinburgh via Paris CDG both connections in CDG were very tight and needed me to run between terminals. They say you can make it within the 50 min change over but it is really pushing it. One and a half hours would be better. My incoming flight was delayed by 15 mins and the plane parked off stand and we were bused to the terminal. That all left just 20 mins to get from the bus to the departure gate having to clear passport control and security. Ran to the gate with seconds to spare."

Punti negativi: "We arrived at the airport at 9:00 to check in for our flight that was scheduled for departure at 12:15 and we were told that we could not check in until 2 hours before the flight (10:15). All of the passengers for flight AZ1466 lined up in front of a check-in counter that displayed Alitalia for our flight. At 10:45 they announced the check in for AZ1466 at a different check-in counter knowing full-well that everyone was lined up for flight AZ1466 on our line. So then everyone that was lined up at the first counter had to line up at the new counter. My wife and I were initially 3rd in line and then after we had to move we were in the very back of the line. On top of that, they only had 1 person checking everyone into economy (which was most of the people on the plane) and they also had to weigh everyone’s carry-on baggage. We were initially told they had weather issues with the snow in Rome and they did not know if we would take off on time or would be cancelled. However, I was getting e-mail messages from Kayak stating our flight was on-time. So how is it that a 3rd party travel company knew what was going on, but the crew at Alitalia did not? Afterward I had to go through security, wait on the tax refund line, and go straight to board the plane. After that we waiting on the plane for 50 minutes and did not take-off until 1:05 PM. These were the problems in short: 1. No one informed us that we could not check in at this particular airport until 2 hours prior to flight departure. 2. They did not begin the check in process until 90 minutes prior to departure. 3. We had to switch check-in lines and they only had 1 check-in person. 4. We had no time to shop or eat lunch at the airport. 5. We boarded the plane and waited until 13:05 to takeoff when we were scheduled to take off at 12:15 (50 minute delay). 6. We received no communications about delays from Alitalia (via e-mail or app). However, we received e-mails from Kayak stating everything was on time. We had no communication from Alitalia about the delay or that we could not check in early (which you could do at every other airport I have been to). We also had a connecting flight in Rome that we were concerned we would miss. We arrived at Rome airport on a delayed flight out of Marco Polo airport (AZ1466). Our 13:40 flight to JFK (AZ610) was delayed until 14:45. After we arrived at Rome airport we ran through the airport to our gate and boarded the plane. After we boarded the plane we waited until 16:10 to take-off (85 minute delay). We did not receive any communication from Alitalia via e-mail, the Alitalia app, or crew members that our flight was being delayed any longer than it already was. We planned on stopping to use the bathrooms in the airport, eat a decent lunch, and shop (which I promised my wife we could do at the airport). However, we could not do any of those things because we did not receive any information about delays from Alitalia. After we arrived home in New York the airline l"

Punti positivi: "Alitalia gets a bad rap, but I thought this flight was excellent, and a comfortably way to travel the 13 hour flight from Rome to Los Angeles. Cabins recently refurbished on 777 thanks to Etihad Airways investment. Food, and plenty of it, was excellent. Wide selection of wines. Choice between freshly made American coffee or Espresso (from Lavazza). Lie flat seats are way more comfortable than KLM. Esoteric selection of documentaries and Italian movies. Leather seats and color scheme is elegant. Also, business class lounge (Alitalia House) at Rome Fiumincino serves delicious freshly cut Italian cold cuts, cheeses, pastrries, and has an actual barista vs a machine. You don't get the sense that they are cutting corners, which is probably why the airline keeps losing money, but that is to the benefit of the traveler (for now). Service friendly. For nonstop to this part of Europe, or for connections to Southern Europe, it may be my number one Skyteam choice."

This was not indicated anywhere, though, so make sure you ask or look for it if there is a long line at check in. Then, the gate is very, very far. Not sure why they had me check in at Terminal 1 as the gate is in Terminal 3. Make sure to allow for plenty of time, and maybe see if it's possible to check in at Terminal 3, which may well save time. But for a 14-hour flight in total comfort, the trade off was worth it."

They all were french and never were they stopped with their heavy bags "Oh" the "security" guy said "I thought you were English!" "Not so" said this Irishman "And you are racist". To no avail and all part of Air france's business plan to charge the dreaded Estranger extra. Never again will I fly Air France. Id rather take a train, drive or even walk. Very bad experience start to finish and yes so very Air France; well Air Italia too.."

After landing at Marseille, the captain told us that we would refuel and fly back to Nice. After a long wait stuck in the hot, stuffy and cramped cabin, the captain announced that he received a call from EasyJet's London office directing him to discontinue the flight because it was more economical to bus the passengers back to Nice. Some passengers refused to deplane and the crew called the police to force them off the plane. The crew was hostile and at no point apologized for the situation. No buses were present when we deplaned. No instructions were given. We simply sat in an uncomfortable holding area for more than three hours without sufficient information or help. If anyone asked for further information they were literally threatened with arrest. In a few cases the police were called by EasyJet staff but the officers unsurprisingly refused to actually arrest someone for such an absurd reason. After an excruciating wait the buses arrived. It took three more hours to get back to Nice. We were dumped there in the middle of the night with no help or assistance. The airport was like a ghost town. It was the worst flight ever. No more EasyJet."

People get in the priority line unknowingly and then get sent the back of the economy line because they didn't know. Not knowing the gate until 60 minutes before the flight is also annoying - you walk through security and then it can be 1 of 90 gates. Checking in is ridiculous too - you can wait in line and then be told 'we are checking people in for this flight yet'. But there are no signs saying what flights can check in. the baggage restrictions are ridiculous too. We saw several people have to check their bags even though they easily fit in the overhead. All in all - easyjet is a cheap flight but you get what you pay for. I will mostly likely never fly with them again."

Crew seemed inexperienced. They had a hard time making decisions with where to put people's bags in the overhead compartments, so much so that passengers took it upon themselves to offer opinions about where bags could be be placed which just prolonged the process. The pilot sounded depressed/not very friendly when he spoke to us on the intercom, didn't give me a good feeling about my journey. Usually pilots speaking to the passengers are cheerful and make an effort to put you at ease in prep for your journey. On easyjet you have to pay for any food or drinks. That sucks. There is no entertainment, just a magazine which is short on interesting articles and mainly just tries to sell you stuff."
