All this plus their new policy of not allowing us to select our seats because we bought the cheapest tickets. Really Delta? You go ahead and cater to the rich and I’ll choose to fly with another airline."

A friend of mine who had paid extra to get an exit row with extra leg room was inexplicably moved to a normal seat, and was only upgraded when she complained. I was moved from a window seat to an exit row without explanation, unfortunately, this was an exit row where a life raft was attached to the door, leaving me even less leg room than a normal seat would have."

Punti negativi: "1) While there is more room in the front, there is less room in the width because the trays are built into the armrests instead of in the seat in the front. Because of that, the armrests take more space below and remain static, while the normal armrests can be lifted up and have nothing below the armrest. 2) The text describing the "deal" for the exit row, which costs more, said that the seats have limited recline compared to normal seats. The fact is that the window seat did not recline at all. The button stayed pushed in all the way and the seat would not move at all. We do not know whether it was broken or intentionally disabled. 3) The attendant's approach was somewhat dismissive at first, but on the good side, she quickly rectified and came through with offers and a more understanding attitude, she was nice. 4) We brought this up to the flight attendants' attention, but the best they could do was to give us 1 free headset and any food we wanted. This was not much since we did not want the food. A refund for that extra payment for that seat would have been a better move. 5) The middle seat (it's a row of 3), has a metal box hanging from the front seat, taking a bit more than half the width of the space, so you can only put your feet under the right side of the front seat. 6) I don't think we'll do exit rows again on Icelandair. We did it before on other airlines with good results. 7) Not sure how the prices compare per mile with other airlines really, but on Icelandair, if you get the "Economy Standard", you really don't get much, no peanuts or snacks, no food, only soft drinks, no video games, only movies and music, and you have to bring your own headset or buy one, along with that the better classes of service run out quickly (I booked maybe 6 months ahead) and are rather spendy in comparison with standard."

They also would not take trash more than the one time about an hour after the drinks service, so slow drinkers were forced to keep all their trash for the entire flight and ending up leaving it in the seats because no one is going to take their trash off the plane with them when they had asked the flight attendants to take it during the flight and were refused. Also for a 7 hour flight, at least offering pretzels would be polite. The plane slid off the runway upon arrival and then we had to wait 2 hours for a ground crew to come with stairs and a bus to unload us. Communication to the customers was extremely poor during this time, we had almost no idea what was happening, and with where our bags were, we waited in the airport for an hour before they announced that they wouldn’t be unloading our bags for another few hours."

When we tried calling the airline, they told us we needed to call back 36 hours before the flight. When we called 36 hours before the flight they told us all of the seats were alr day taken and we needed to speak to the agent when we checked in. When we were given seat assignments at checkin and asked why we'd had no input into the seat selection, they said we should have called in advance. It was really frustrating, especially because we ended up in th back of the plane. I was in a middle seat, winch don't have any space for a bag under the seats in front of them. Then there were no meals served on the overnight flight. I bought a small salad for 12 euros. I have never in my life taken an overnight flight where they don't serve at least dinner, if not both dinner and breakfast. The flight was on time and the attendants were friendly, but I wasn't terribly impressed otherwise."

We called the third-party company to assist with changing flights and, after 40 minutes on hold, JustFly.com said there was nothing they could do and that we needed to contact IcelandAir. After another 60 minutes on hold IcelandAir said there was nothing they could do except rebook us on a new ticket. $2000 later we finally got to go on our honeymoon. Long story short we had to buy all new tickets. JustFly.com only refunded $200 of our original ticket cost after assessing numerous cancellation fees (over $700 in cancel fees). We won't be booming JustFly again. Happy Honeymoon to us, once we finally got there."

Then the flight itself was delayed because they were waiting for another plane with connecting passengers from New York. There was a lot of sitting on the tarmac and we were delayed getting to our final destination. This is also the first transatlantic flight I have taken with any Airline where there was not at least one complimentary meal on board. Apparently they are reserving that now only for economy Comfort class and up."

"The company did not know how to handle COVID bureaucracy efficiently or even correctly. We were asked to fill in four forms when only one is needed or even checked at all. I had to come in early to the airport, take a COVID test and then wait in the airport departure lobby for almost 1h to check in while waiting for the test results. Given that I spent a substantial amount to get a business ticket, I expected my time to be respected and to have business facilities made available. Once reached, the lounge now has an ordering system instead of self-service. The food was honestly disgusting, cold boiled rice without any salt and some "Spanish chorizo chicken" that had no chorizo and tasted like boiled chicken dropped in reheated tomato sauce. The plane departed one hour late. The business class seat was small, but comfortable. The company sent a boiler plate email apologizing which is something you appreciate the first time and it becomes grating when you get more than one per week."

What I gathered was that the computer was not very cooperative. The ticket agents were incredibly helpful during this process."

The lady at the counter asked me what time my flight was and I said 6:20 and right off the bat she was extremely rude and said that I missed the flight. I panicked internally and asked her how that was possible?! She said the cutoff was at 5:45am and I missed it. I asked if there were other flights available today or tomorrow and she said there was nothing she could do and that I had to call the booking company to see if they could book me. I wanted to cry because my friend had just dropped me off and I called to see if she was close enough to turn back. Luckily she hadn’t left yet. I called the booking company and they were able to book me a trip for the following day but they charged me an additional $100. I wish they had disclosed that we need to be there 45 minutes to an hour early otherwise you miss your flight. And it’s ridiculous that I had to pay an extra $100... financially it was stressful due to the covid 19 situation. I was extremely disappointed in how the lady at the check in counter at American Airlines treated me. She www extremely rude and I have never been spoken to in a way that made me feel attacked."

I tried to sleep but it is not easy for me to fall sleep when the seat back reclines only 3 inches so I didn't have luck taking a nap. Conclusion: I am not taking this flight any more. I will go back to taking will switch back to flying Delta even though there are no direct flights."

We had to cancel our trip since it was a short trip for a funeral and we had missed it. AA offered no compensation and no apology (not during the whole night of delays and cancels)."

The soliton they gave me was that they would ask the crew to raise the temp in the cabin, I had to make the request three times and I had to tell the stewardess that if not raising the temperature in the cabin I could have gone into an emergency hypothermia crisis. I had to take another shirt from my carry-on to put it over my shirt to warm me up."

Punti positivi: "For this flight I was seated in first class (I scheduled it this way; it wasn't due to a last minute upgrade) and the flight attendant was very personable and attentive :-) Service was wonderful and the meal was great! Of course, the flight attendant made sure to keep our beverages topped off as needed. It was a wonderful experience"
Punti negativi: "The boarding process for just about any airline is nearly identical. It always seems like it takes longer to board than expected even if, in reality, it's not an unreasonable amount of time. The only think I didn't care for was that overhead storage in the area I was sitting was just about full by the time I was seated which meant that I had to store my carry on a few rows behind where I sat. This meant that during off-boarding I needed to go against the flow of people to get back to my carry on. All in all, it was a minor inconvenience."

On the return on the Airbus, the seats were a little more comfortable, but still need seatbelt extender."

WiFi did not work well, and there were no individual screens on the backs of the seats. The First Class on this plane was really bad and needs some rethinking by American."
