"The flights were supposed to be with SAS only, but I was mailed by United, requiring documentations for international travel. Before contacting the customer service, I thought this may have been spam/scam... However it was impossible to do an online check in from all SAS, United and Kayak websites. I was therefore forced to check in at the airport with United (again, I wouldn't have known if I had not contacted CS). What really managed to piss me off is that at the time of the check in, not only United was not able to check me in with SAS, but the first flight was also arriving in Chicago at the terminal 1,with the second departing from terminal 5! These terminals are at the opposite poles of the airport (need a shuttle, because it's impossible to walk) and I had to check in and pass through the security again, with a 1:30 hour layover on a transatlantic flight!! Furthermore, Kayak HID THESE DETAILS UNTIL I FOUND OUT AT THE CHECK IN AT THE TIME OF DEPARTURE. I was lucky enough to catch that flight, but only because there was no line at the security. In my case I wasn't traveling for tourism, but I was on my way back to my home country, on the grace period of my US visa. I think it's easy to figure out how many issues losing that flight could have caused to me... I also think this is a deeply irregular way of selling tickets and that kayak should have accounted liable for the issues I may have ran into."

I asked other passengers if they too were "uncomfortable" ALL said yes. This would have solved also in my opinion the screaming small children that were also obviously "irritated" A cooler cabin would have induced a "sleep" environment, none of which I was able to get. Sadly, based on this alone, I will not fly SAS again, unless Business Coach class or 1st Class. I was surprised that an additional Coca-Cola was charged for when some beverages were complimentary... puzzling."

We had long cleared Immigration, which normally is not a speedy process, and yet still had to wait at least 20 minutes for the FIRST bag to appear on the carousel. Most annoying, particularly after a relatively long flight, and especially for transfer passengers who needed to recheck their bags to continue to other destinations."

Instead we were assigned to two more flights, one to Brussels, and another from Brussels to Rome. We arrived in Rome around 17:00 rather than 10:35 as scheduled, losing a full day of sight-seeing."

The booking never made it clear that I was not allowed to check my suitcase and I had to pay € 70 extra both coming and going and thereby paid 1 1/2 times more for my suitcase than for my ticket. When we asked the supervisor to tell the people in luggage claim to forward our luggage to Rome when we were in Chicago (because of course the connecting flight only gave us 40 minutes to get to our flight to Rome so we didn't have enoughtrime to check our bags a second time), he said no. What would it have killed the guy to make a simple phone call? The alternative was to wait a day or two to see if maybe we could catch another flight to Rome with our luggage. I've never made a complaint before and I've never really made review because I don't it really accomplishes anything and I'm sure the idiots at American Airlines will never see or care about this, but I was extremely disappointed. They didn't get any empathy from your employees not even an im sorry, and I get that this job is hard but I have the same job too and I suck it up and still try to empathize with my customers. Oh well... it is what it is. The Airlines can do whatever they want."
