We tried twice to fly home earlier because we knew the flights were going to get cancelled but the airlines wanted to charge us $1500 for that. So when the time came and the flights got cancelled they were trying to adjust the flights and we got stranded away from our kids. Overall it was not a great experience as far as their customer service and we were not happy with how they chose to handle things."

"The company did not know how to handle COVID bureaucracy efficiently or even correctly. We were asked to fill in four forms when only one is needed or even checked at all. I had to come in early to the airport, take a COVID test and then wait in the airport departure lobby for almost 1h to check in while waiting for the test results. Given that I spent a substantial amount to get a business ticket, I expected my time to be respected and to have business facilities made available. Once reached, the lounge now has an ordering system instead of self-service. The food was honestly disgusting, cold boiled rice without any salt and some "Spanish chorizo chicken" that had no chorizo and tasted like boiled chicken dropped in reheated tomato sauce. The plane departed one hour late. The business class seat was small, but comfortable. The company sent a boiler plate email apologizing which is something you appreciate the first time and it becomes grating when you get more than one per week."

Arrival was also waiting on buses before a 15 minute ride to the far side of the airport. No food or beverage is offered free. Not a pleasant experience in any way."

It's a short regional flight so the older, regional configuration of the seats is appropriate if not a little shabby. Offer of juices, Arabic coffee and dates before take off is very welcoming as is a choice of hot or cold towels. Flight was on time for take-off and landing."

Avoid Oman Air unless you are sadistic and enjoy forced flight changes and no compensation. As I was forced to change to a flight to one arriving at 03.10 with my work starting at 06.00, I tried (and failed due to a lack of space and fidgety neighbour) to sleep all the flight to be fresh and professional for my work. The booked flight which was forcibly cancelled got me home 9pm the night before work. Oman Air refused a suggestion to upgrade me to business class so I could try and sleep."

I was out of pocket for a small amount - they refused to pay the $27.60. I was to arrive home at 9pm for an 06.00 start to work they changed my flight so I arrived at 04.00. I asked for an upgrade to business class to try and sleep. They ignored the request. They instead sent me a copy of the small print saying that they were allowed to change anyone's flights and give zero compensation if the 'client' is informed two weeks in advance. I will avoid Oman Air from now on, even if they seem to offer the best times to fly."

I came with a backpack, a roller bag I often can carry on and another bag to check.The bag allowance was just one to check. They wouldn't let me carry on my roller bag because it was too heavy. They encouraged me first to rearrange the luggage to make the one light enough to carry on, by putting some in the other bag that was being checked, But I explained that bag was already full. So they urged me to get my two bags wrapped together so that there would not be an extra bag charge. The ticket agent also came out to look for me---I hadn't realized they boarded so early---and walked with me to the gate. That was very nice of them. There were snacks and beverages on both flights and friendly stewardesses, and lots of movies to choose from."

Punti negativi: "This is an international flight which didnt have an in seat entertainment. They didnt announce anything and this is the only airline where they serve the food without even checking if you want or not. It was a mid night flight and i was fast asleep after take off. They woke me up and just threw the food on the table and walked off. Another first of its kind is they serve solid food first and followed by drinks so even if you are thirsty, you have to wait. All juice will be served later. and the most uncomfortable old seats. Probably they use different flights for different sectors and to India, they consider every passenger as just "cattle" class and use the worst flight they have. But no other option. There are few direct flights and this is the only choice. So have to fly with them again unfortunately."

Punti positivi: "Most comfortable seats on the sector Lahore to Muscat, flat beds. Lounge arrangement at Muscat airport was very comfortable given that I had a long layover. Food served was mostly good and the attending crew were quite courteous!"

Punti negativi: "After boarding 3 passengers were made to disembark. This happens for different reasons. But the pilot refused to turn any ventilation. Cost savings? We were left to fan ourselves as the cabin overheated in the hot sun. No civilized airline can showe this sort of disregard for passenger comfort. After being tortured for an hour we finally got off the ground. Sorry, Oman Air, lots of room for improvement. I had a wonderful time in Oman and look forward to returning on Emirates."

I tried to change my boarding pass to early flights back to bahrain, they cant do any thing but to tell me to relax and sit down! I missed 2 flights going to bahrain and they let me waited for 13hrs at the airport! Flying time from MCT to BAH only takes 1 1/2 hrs! their ground staff are super lazy for them to assist passenger are so so impossible to do!"
