Then 45 minutes into the flight they said the landing gear light came on and they would be going back to change plans. My mother with Lymes disease was waiting 3 hours in Providence supposed to arrive a 11:50 instead 2:50am we were so tired missed a day of vacation."

Punti positivi: "I paid only $100 more round trip to DTW from SLC then I would have with other carriers, minus the hassle of connecting flights and paying fees that they don't tell you about up front (like $25 for a carry-on bag, oh and a another $12 per leg for a window seat). My experience, like my previous Delta experiences was absolutely enjoyable. From the quick boarding, super friendly gate agents, and flight crew, to the free on board entertainment, Delta has won me over once again. Oh and did I mention how great it is to board a flight, relax and watch a good movie, take a small nap, and deplane at your destination! Awesome!!"

I am POSITIVE that several of those people missed their connecting flights as the flight attendants and crew did not allow for them to leave the plane first. As people seem to be so self-centered anymore, the attendants should have announced that people were not to leave until all passengers with connecting flights had left the plane. Very sad that people can't use common courtesy all by themselves, but as they can't, it should have been enforced by the team on the plane."

They handled it with grace giving each person their departing gate and asking everyone to let a gentleman off with a 10 minute connection. They made the flight memorably enjoyable."

After being delayed for two hours out of Rome to Istanbul and missing our connection to Jeddah with hundreds of other stranded passengers from the other flights, Turkish Airlines incompetent handling had us wait in multiple ques for more than five hours only to provide us a hotel for two hours and then shuttle back to a flight 12 hours later! I have yet to hear an explanation from anyone about what happened or a simple sorry for your trouble. This is operational incompetence at full display. Never Again!"

I spent hours of the last day of our vacation trying to figure out what was wrong, then searching for a rebooking a new flight. It cost us more than $1000 USD extra, just to get home. NOT the way we envisioned ending our vacation. I'll never use this airline again!"

The day of the flight our connection flight was delayed we were told someone would escort several of the passengers from Lufthansa to the connection with United no one was there. Several of us ran to where the flight gate was but the plane already left. It turns out other people were also called and turned down United’s offer. So the question is since our flight was purposely overbooked did United take advantage of our situation and just leave and cause all of us great pain and duress with no compensation for all of our inconvenience."

Gate number was available at the last hour or so, which then got changed. Not just this flight. many flocks of people were running around to find their new gate... also as I mentioned climbing several stories of stairs with carry-on isn't fun! Not on this flight, but on my initial departure from US to FRA, monitors said go to Gate B. I got in line for Gate B as there was some security check, then we were told there was another B?!@ We had to go down and take the bus for that...written.. No where!"

The food smells good, usually, but it isn't that great. The chicken I had was fine, but the side dish (sweet potatoes) wasn't good. The salad had too much radicchio, the soft cheese was too rubbery to cut (spilled my water doing so), the cake wasn't up to German reputation. Also, one flight attendant, got her own suitcase down, at least 5 times, stretching directly above me, with her jacket in my face and never apologizing. My seat wouldn't recline, nor could other peoples. This is why I paid to choose my seat, so I could sleep, more easily but I sat upright the whole time."

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Punti negativi: "The food was filling, but not particularly tasty. For those seated toward the back, there was no choice. Although maybe there was no choice to begin with. Normally, on international flights, for the first (bigger) meal at least, you are given two choices, such as meat or vegetarian, beef or chicken. The food itself wasn't great. The salad was below average on both flight, from and to Chicago. So was the desert. Drinks are offered once with each meal in very small glasses. Although there is a bottle of water from the start."

It looks like American Airlines hopes to exchange your reality with virtuality, but our bodies that we are for some reason taking with us on that itinerary - suffer."
