"The company did not know how to handle COVID bureaucracy efficiently or even correctly. We were asked to fill in four forms when only one is needed or even checked at all. I had to come in early to the airport, take a COVID test and then wait in the airport departure lobby for almost 1h to check in while waiting for the test results. Given that I spent a substantial amount to get a business ticket, I expected my time to be respected and to have business facilities made available. Once reached, the lounge now has an ordering system instead of self-service. The food was honestly disgusting, cold boiled rice without any salt and some "Spanish chorizo chicken" that had no chorizo and tasted like boiled chicken dropped in reheated tomato sauce. The plane departed one hour late. The business class seat was small, but comfortable. The company sent a boiler plate email apologizing which is something you appreciate the first time and it becomes grating when you get more than one per week."

In the end, we had to put in a little plastic bag everything valuable we had in the baggage, though on the plane there was plenty of space available in the overhead lockers."

You were late leaving from Venice to London Heathrow on August 1 which I barely made the flight to Glasgow and then coming back your flight is late leaving Edinburgh to Heathrow And my luggage doesn't make it again! You don't even serve water on the airplane which is ridiculous! Your flight crew were nice but you really need to be on time or not schedule flights with such short layover times! And I hope no one takes anything out of my suitcase! And I'm sure nothing will be done so why do you even do a survey?"

I emailed American Airlines last week but hadn’t gotten a response yet so when they announced that we would exit by stairs, I was almost in tears as I gathered my belongings. To my surprise, American Airlines had a ramp for us to use. I don’t know it it was a coincidence or if they responded that quickly knowing I was on the plane through todays’s technology. I will be a fan and a customer forever."

The biggest issue I have is that invariably when I fly American, if I go through Charlotte, is on the whole inconvenient. It takes way to Long to get to a gate when you land. Weather I can understand, but telling us we are waiting on a specific crew to arrive and then announcing that crew is not for our flight was just terrible communication. No one seemed apologetic. The only thing they did was bring a snack cart over for us, and that got raided by children so many people didn't get anything. We had arranged transport from Orlando to Tampa for that evening, and our rides had to cancel because instead of 7pm we were now arriving at 130am. Your airline's mistakes put everyone at an inconvenience and we weren't offered assistance to fix it. My husband went to ask for help in arranging new transport home, but he couldn't even get to the front of the line. The customer service was terrible. We really enjoyed our first leg of the flight home with American Airlines, but after the second leg and all of the problems we had... we will not fly with American Airlines in the future."

Finally called their customer service line only to learn that I could get on another flight that left in a few minutes. Door was still open but gate agent argued with the lady on 800 line about who could ticket faster. By time they finished arguing the door closed. That began a 14 hour nightmare of bumping between flights and delays and the inevitable lost luggage. Paid for $300 hotel room at Vancouver that I will get to stay in for 4 hours. Will NEVER fly American again"
