Having an endless supply of mid flight snacks was also appreciatd I always like the warm wet towels, which were offered at take off and landing. The entertainment choices were endless, but because it had USB and regular power, I was able to work on my laptop and listen to my podcasts on phone without worrying about running out of battery."

The amenities kit was a bit on the cheap side. Also, only the supplied two prong headphones could be used with the entertainment system, I would have preferred an option to use my high end ones -- this was the main reason I chose to just work and listen to my own music/podcasts instead of watching a movie. We boarded and disembarked through the business sections and the aisles were too narrow. The announcements were hard to hear and the temperature was set too low for half of the flight (to kept fluctuating requiring constant adjustment of blanket/jacket). Having said that will keep flying them."

Arriving transfer passengers must go through Turkish airport security. Turkish security did set up an operation right at the gate. This both expedited things and relieved the stress of going through the process far from the gate."

Turkish Airlines does not communicate with its passengers. If the flight is late (as both of ours were), you wait with no information as to when the flight leaves. The same lack of communication occurs once you on board. I joked to my wife that the cargo on a Fed-Ex flight is given more information."

Punti negativi: "There was no air in our section of the plane. The entire flight from Houston to Istanbul was miserable. It was 85 degrees or higher, and every chance we got to complain to a flight attendant was met with dismissal. We were told they were trying to fix it, but really there's nothing they could have done, and they shouldn't have made it sound like if we just waited a little the problem would get fixed. Not only was it hot, but there was no actual air flow of any kind, and as a person with Asthma this was extremely uncomfortable. Our section was right behind the first class section, and the flight attendants kept trying to keep us separated with the curtains, even though the only way we were getting any air was from that cabin. We consistently requested them to leave the curtains open in the hopes that some air would make it's way to us, but there was little change. Some families with newborns were moved to first class, and some passengers were able to scout out and find other available seats throughout the plane, but for the majority of us in that section, we had no air, and were treated very poorly for as much discomfort as we were going through. There was no apology and little acknowledgement to the problem at hand and I felt personally very disrespected by the whole experience."

NEVER AGAIN AUSTRIAN AIRLINES!!!"
