All of this was after a terrible experience and delay just trying to connect flights within the German airport and the security delays that probably would have made us lose our flight if it wasn't delayed. There needs to be a better system if you are not staying in Germany but just connecting flights from the same airline!"

The cases are clearly over sized and then they get to put them in the hold for free, meanwhile, those of us who are honest about the size have paid to check their luggage from the start. Everyone should be able to check one bag for free and anyone who brings more than real carry on should be charged a fee. It would speed up onboarding and off loading and would not create the danger of suitcases falling on people's heads when they are put in the overhead bins."

As a result, a plane full of angry people hassled by a serious lack of customer service focus landed in Toronto and had to, AGAIN, get in a huge line to be processed with all of the missed flights. They knew we were coming--WHY weren't there more preparations made for a much smoother transition?? I hate Air Canada and will never again knowingly book that airline. They need to change out the entire fleet of old, crappy, smelly, falling-apart planes."

This flight definitely spans lunch hours, but they insist you pay for even the smallest snack. -Customer service has been repeatedly short with me (I have had other incidents with lost luggage). They act like whatever happened could not have been avoided, and that you should know your place as a traveller. The idea of the customer being right is totally lost on them. CONCLUSION: they simply don't care. This airline was a monopoly for years, and it shows in their daily operations. They are ineffective, and entitled, and I will go far out of my way not to deal with them again."

I've never been really impressed with Air Canada but they provide great value for the money as they have sort of become the budget airline of international travel without having a true "budget airline feel." I'll take a good flight to Tokyo with Air Canada for $1100 over an excellent flight to Tokyo for $1500 or $1600, or maybe more. I also like the option of having a long layover in Toronto or Montreal with Air Canada, as these are good cities to spend a few hours in. On the flight back from Tokyo, I had a nice layover in Toronto that lasted almost a day."
Punti negativi: "The electronic/entertainment system went down for a about an hours so that was annoying. This only happened on the return flight but it was enough to create anxiety and make you wonder when it's going to come back on. Airline food is hardly ever much but it's pretty dull on Air Canada. It's not a bad idea to bring some of your own food and alcohol onto an Air Canada flight. The service was good but the stewards don't seem to enjoy their job as much as on some other airlines."

Punti negativi: "I think a "red-eye" should automatically include at least a pillow (whether or not you were in first class) and an attempt to keep the lights off in the cabin. Our carry-on luggage had to be far behind us and on the other side of the plane. If you would board the rear first and have each passenger keep their carry on above their own seat this would eliminate this problem and the congestion in the aisles which occurs because of it."

Punti negativi: "I hated the breakfast food. One of the flight attendants pushed me when I was leaning in my seat to see something ahead of me. I thought that was very rude. She could have asked me to move."
