"It took an hour for our luggage to arrive on the carousel. Everything else was fine. But I’ve never had to wait so long for my luggage. At the end of a very long travel day it was not what I would have hoped for."

Punti negativi: "I dont know WHY Delta changed my flight with ALIITALIA, but, DON'T DO IT DELTA. The check in process took an hour, not talking about the line, the ACTUAL checkin at the counter. I couldn't complete my web checkin at the AliItalia web site. Landed in JFK, still sucks as an airport, nobody helps, nobody explains anything, very poor signs and instructions, Global Entry kiosk are hard to spot. My connection ticket didn't have the TSA/PRECHECK legend, went to AliItalia counter, the lady at AliItalia barely said anything when I asked for help with that, her immediate answer was to disengage and sent me to another terminal "to talk to Delta". She didn't explain or didn't want to give an explanation until I started to act as an already 9hr30min flight frustrated customer in a very old, very poor plane with poor food service. Again, I bought an over $1,000 ticket with DELTA, NOT ALIITALIA, if Delta send people with their "partners" at least make sure that they are taken care of properly."

They gave us a card to make it up to us but (wisely) don't tell you what it is for. It turned out to be for 10% off your next flight if you book it through their website within a year. Useless. On our return flight we were delayed on the tarmac for over an hour with no air conditioning, they originally said they were waiting for a signature but then said that there was something wrong with the engines that help us take off, then the cabin filled with a fuel smell, then they said they had brought the wrong item for the repair and we were waiting for the correct one. When we finally took off my husband's screen didn't work yet again and this was a 9 hour flight. The flight attendant said that some of the screens hadn't worked for a while ( probably cheaper to hand out useless discounts than to fix them.). We received another 10% off card, which we cannot combine or transfer, again useless. We missed our connection because of the delay, they booked us on another flight but because they didn't tell us that we had to pick up our luggage or where (it was on a different carousel than the rest of the luggage from our flight) and that we had to go through customs we (and many others) missed that flight too. We finally got a flight out the next morning and they put us up at a hotel. We both had to miss another day of work and it was quite an ordeal. My husband's screen worked for almost all of that last flight before it seized up. We didn't bother to report it that time since another 10% off coupon wasn't going to do us any good. Overall it is concerning that Air Canada doesn't seem to be maintaining their planes in optimal condition and that their idea of compensation involves them making even more money from me. Never again."

It was complete chaos from the earliest part of the trip to the very end."

Punti positivi: "- At Rome FCO, one of the Air Canada representatives pulled out of the line to get us into the business class check-in line since we had 2 kids - we totally loved this focus on families and respect the attention to detail! - The flight from FCO to YYZ was awesome! great food, great service, constant flow of drinks and the dessert was awesome! my kids are picky eaters and even they enjoyed the food - Movie and entertainment selection was awesome - Lastly, appreciated the prompt service for getting child stroller at the door of the aircraft at all times (from FCO-YYZ-PDX)"
Punti negativi: "- The new designed aircraft are meant to pack more passengers which means the aisle for rolling the trolley is very narrow - poor flight attendants were having a challenge and bumping trolley into seats (not their fault at all) - given likelihood of injuries and lawsuits, I highly recommend AIR CANADA management to do something about this narrow aisle before it is too late (i.e. major lawsuit filed by future passenger on account of injury sustained because of getting hurt by food trolley)"

I missed my connecting flight from Toronto to New York and as a result, my plans to proceed to Boston was destroyed. When I spoke to the agent in Toronto, to route me to Boston, she told me that Air Canada's contract with me is to a place and not necessarily at a particular time. That was unbelievable. I arrived New York stranded, at 1:30pm, with no ability to continue to Boston. I had to spend so much money to get me to Boston. It was a horribly long day. Over 25 hours on the road, counting when I arrived Rome airport and when I finally got home."

My husband watched three movies, my kids and I played games (often together), and we used the accurate flight tracker to monitor our status. The food wasn't bad at all. Lunch was either chicken or pasta (which my son and I enjoyed) and we had wraps for snack (chicken or veg, which were very good). The beverage service was good and they came around a couple of extra times with water. The flight staff were friendly and helpful. My son is special needs and they were very accommodating."

And then boarding was actually onto a bus which carried us out to the plane. Word of advice: don't try to connect with less than two hours if you're heading to the US. We had at least four checkpoints to go through. (But that clearly wasn't on Air Canada and they, in fact, had someone at Customs watching out for us.)"

Punti negativi: "I remember reading that Aeroflot in Russia has better customer service than United Air Lines. Well, it was on full display today on our flight from LAX to Kona repleat with the veteran battle ax barking orders at passengers; “The Bathroom is by the blue curtaaaaaaiiiins!!!!!’ Poor victim seemed utterly humiliated. Seating is cramped, seats narrow and unsupportive and the old 757’s (c. 1997) entertainment system is ancient...the touch screens seemed unresponsive, but were in fact just slow...as 5-7 seconds would elapse between touching the screen and the command being implemented. A full re-boot was ordered about 30-45 minutes into the flight. As expected, there were some bumps in the air, but we welcommed them because it required the crew to sit down, freeing us of their ultra passive agressiveness."

Punti positivi: "The crew on the flight were very friendly, very attentive and always smiling. They took great care of the passengers and in particular a woman with a crying baby. It didn't bother me at all, but I know the parents were concerned and the flight attendants were so kind and helpful. The food was truly fantastic, and served hot and with a smile. They repeatedly asked us about water, as the cabin was dry. I would give the crew an A+!"
Punti negativi: "My husband and I have not flown for several years and have always enjoyed past flights. However, it seems as if the seats have much less leg room than years ago. I am only 5 foot 4 inches, and was very uncomfortable. My husband is 6 feet tall and he was miserable. Sleeping on this 9 hour flight would have been helpful, but due to the cramped seating, it was pretty much impossible. The little pillow and blanket did help with some back support, but I guess making more money per flight is more important than comfort."

The plane was late inbound, had a minor mechanical issue, and on top of that we were at a remote gate so they had to bus everyone to plane. After all that, we sat on the tarmac even longer because of “traffic”. Our takeoff clearance had expired and we were behind a bunch of planes. After landing in Chicago, we waited an additional 30 minutes because our gate was occupied."

Tutti quelli che avevano coincidenze strette sull'aereo per ogni parte del mondo erano allibiti da questa mancanza di informazioni, Una volta arrivati a Toronto il personale di terra non sapeva nulla e siamo dovuti correre fino al gate seguendo le indicazioni dei monitor che davano lo stato del volo come "Boarding". Arrivati trafelati al gate abbiamo scoperto che il volo era partito mezz'ora prima e si erano dimenticati di aggiornare lo stato del volo sui monitor......................... Dopo un'ora di attesa al banco dell'assistenza ci hanno mandati in hotel e dato il biglietto per il volo del giorno successivo. Parte dei pasti li abbiamo pagati di tasca nostra visti i pochi dollari di buono per mangiare (7$ per la colazione, 10$ per pranzo e 15$ per la cena, spendibili esclusivamente all'Holiday Inn dove la sola colazione a buffet costava 17$ + tasse..."

Pessima impressione, che ha reso ancora più sgradevole un red-eye flight che già di per sè non è un'esperienza piacevole."
