Food wasn't exactly stellar, but clearly a lot better than on most European flights operated by larger companies (Lufthansa, KLM, Air France etc.). The aircraft itself was clean and looked fairly new and well maintained"
Punti negativi: "The seating was absolutely HORRENDOUS. Even though I'm nearly 6'3" (close to 1.90m), I generally never complain about seating space or legroom, even on low cost flights. This particular TAP aircraft, however, despite looking quite new, had some of the most cramped seating ever. Additionally, the trays were minuscule (you could barely place the entire food tray the service during the flight, let alone have another drink at the same time on the tray). Also, on the inbound flight (this was the return one), the seats were fitted with a very simple and clever tablet-holding mechanism, so you could easily watch something on your table while eating your food (from a similarly small tray table). The seat back pockets do not have any material/fabric on the sides, so stored items could easily slip out sideways from the pocket. Shame to have such a good in flight service and to be a punctual airline if you're going to carry your passengers cramped like cattle in seats 'rivalling' the ones on Ryanair flights on 4-hour long journeys."

Stayed in line for over an hour not knowing if the plane was going to take off from Casablanca. No water was distributed and no communication was shared with the passengers until the crew announced boarding."

Our new flight gave us the worst seats on the plane while giving the couples behind us in line the best."

Punti negativi: "Trying to be impartial on this review as it was my return trip that was a nightmare. I honestly just slept through the entire flight. It seems pretty obvious that SATA Has a monopoly on US flights to the Azores and they are making no effort to improve service."

Punti negativi: "Both times I have flown this airline it was late--the first time 13 hours without any explanations and constant promises of it just being a few more hours, the second flight was 2 hours. In the airport in Portugal, they transport you by bus to the airplane and make you sit on the crowded bus at least 30-45 minutes. Then it takes another hour to load the plane. This is an 8 plus hour flight--they have the same 4 movies both directions."

Punti negativi: "Delayed 4 times without explanation. No option to select vegetarian meal at time of ticket purchase or check in. Boarding is a free for all. No order, just a mass of people funneling in to get through the gate. Then had to get on a shuttle bus to the plane... which took us to the wrong plane. Boarding the plane is also a free for all. The disorganization must have at least doubled the required boarding time."

Punti negativi: "We were boarded on a plane that was hot like an oven!!! There was no AC, not even a fan. I felt like in sauna!!! We were told that the AC can only be turned on after the engines start. We were waiting on a plane in this incredible heat for about 40min after which we were told to go back on a bus and back to the terminal. After another hour we were put back on the same "oven" plane. By the time the AC started working another 40 passed even though this time the engines were started shorty after boarding."
