About Covid. The thing is that you cannot submit it unless you as a passenger fill out an Austrian address. The electronic form does not have the option to rule out staying in Austria and indicating that you are transiting in Vienna. I had to fill that form out (at the Address in Austria section) with sentences like “not applicable” “transitting” and also had to google the Vienna Airport address for the zip code so it could be submitted. The form forced me to fool the it. Not cool. Frustrating."

Solo che: - le informazioni non le danno al gate, ma allo Starbucks dell'aeroporto, senza avere aspettato e neanche avvertito tutti i passeggeri - ci dicono che nonostante i mercatini natalizi ci hanno trovato comunque un hotel, facendolo un po' pesare, mentre è loro dovere, siccome il volo è ritardato al giorno dopo. Peccato che l'hotel è a 120 km e loro non hanno trovato il bus per il trasferimento (incidentalmente, anche questo è da norma di legge un loro dovere...) - alla fine come assistenza in termini di generi di conforto commisurata alla durata del ritardo, 10 ore, il tutto si è ridotto ad una bottiglietta d'acqua e un kit toilette per il mattino. In ragione della distanza degli hotel disponibili siamo stati invitati pressantemente a passare la notte nel terminal, ma: - nessuna assistenza. Dopo i controlli di sicurezza neanche una bottiglietta d'acqua, neanche un voucher colazione, neanche qualche coperta o cuscino per dormire meglio sulle scomodissime sedie/divano. E neanche uno scusate. - nessuna reazione alla possibilità di apertura della business giunge: è chiusa e non la riapriamo per voi. Neanche per farvi dormire un po' meno peggio. - nessuna specifica informazione ai passeggeri sulla evoluzione della situazione - siamo stati abbandonati a noi stessi, in sostanza Violazioni multiple e ripetute del regolamento CE 261/2004. Ma pagheranno, eh, se pagheranno..."

This seems to be a new appliance, and I jut wish they would do away with it altogether. More is not necessarily better."

With all the bad weather, I was already very happy to connect right on time in Paris. However, a long haul A380 flight with such a tight seat configurstion is almost embarrassing for an airline. The in flight entertainment is at a very poor level, not only with the screen being very small and outdated, many of the movies are only available in French and the international selection very limited. The food was not much of a delight, whereas the presentation was nice. However, in all the 7 h between the services, nobody came around with refreshments in a completely booked flight, neither was announced that a trolly would be set for self service in the galley. Lucky the ones who got up and found out about. In terms of amenities, again, the airline is lacking of originality and saves cost. Bottom line: you get from A to B, but there are so many better competitors in the market, which I shall definitely consider on my next travel."

The food was pathetic and nasty; they served breaded chicken that was so soggy it resembled a used dish cloth. It came with soggy oily vegetables and a cake that had condensation all over it. The only redeeming thing on this flight was the free Polish beer (it was warm). The flight we took going to Poland was on one of their new Dreamliner planes and it was amazing! We were so disappointed with this return flight as it was a stark contrast to the wonderful experience we had coming to Poland. I hope in the future they can discontinue use of these older planes, as it makes flying much more aggravating."

After the boarding, the plane did not take off for 2 hours without any explanation or apology. As a result, we spent around 12 hours in the plane instead of 10. 4. As a result of the delay, I almost missed my connecting flight. I had 20 minutes to get off the plane, take my new boarding pass for the next flight, and board. I can't describe how stressful and chaotic this all was. Other people also had the same problem and there was a huge line and a huge mess. The airport staff was very disorganized and unhelpful. I had to yell to get any attention and a new boarding pass. And then I had to run to catch my flight. 5. Unfortunately it's not surprising that my luggage did not arrive. It was early morning on Saturday (just past midnight) and my suitcase delivered on Tuesday evening in spite of the fact that there are flights between Kiev and Tbilisi twice every day. The worst is that nobody was giving me any information - Tbilisi airport, Ukrainian Airlines via website (online tracking) or telephone. They did answer my email saying that they will try to find it, but then went silent. The Tbilisi airport speculated that probably my suitcase never boarded the plane in JFK and it might be still stuck in New York. 6. Finally, a number of items were stolen from my suitcase - a handbag and a few pieces of clothes (blouse, tights, underwear). Clothes were brand new and had tags on them, but the handbag did not."

The customer service rep who was the transfer agent when we arrived in Kiev from Dubai was so rude and dismissive. She could not tell us what time we were now going to arrive in NYC. I contacted the airline 2 months before our departure & asked for a window & a middle seat together. I received an email confirmation with the assigned seats I requested. However, the agent handed me tickets with two separate middle seats! I advised her that i had already reserved seats together months ago & she told me too bad, they can change our seats if they wanted to! I was completely shocked that they gave our seats away & at how rudely she treated us. We also tried to ask another agent at the gate what time we would now be landing in NYC (because we were clearly going to miss our connecting flight and needed to make arrangements) He was even more rude to us than the first agent! He said "how am I supposed to know that" then he said he couldn't help us and he needed us to move out of the line. When we asked if he could possibly look it up on his computer he completely ignored us & started talking to the person in line behind us. I was shocked at how bad we were treated & how little the agents knew. We finally found an information desk and one woman told us the flight time was 3 hours. When we told her that it took us over 9 hours to get to Kiev the week before, she then said it was an 8 hour flight. Needless to say it was actually a 10 hour flight. We were told that the reason the flight was delayed almost 4 hours was because the plane would not be getting to the airport until the new scheduled departure time due to delays in another city. Well we witnessed the plane in the gate more than 2 hours before we loaded. It was there the entire time, so that was obviously a lie. The seats were tiny and cramped and they do not have individual TVs. So uncomfortable for 10 hours! Since we missed our connecting flight in NYC, there were no more flights leaving that day so we had to stay the night and fly stand-by the next morning. All the flights were full due to it being the holidays so it took us over 45 hours to get home. Thank god that we were flying on Southwest Airlines from NYC to ABQ. They were so helpful and made sure to get us on whatever flight they could to get us home. Thankfully they had great customer service and were at least able to make the end of our journey a little bit better. I will tell everyone I know to NEVER fly with Ukraine Int. Airlines, no matter how cheap the ticket is. Spend a little more money on go on a reputable airline that will at a minimum have basic customer service. The boarding was a disaster as they kicked everyone out of the holding area and then made us all reenter after they checked us all off a list. We then stood in another line to board. We left even later than the new scheduled time."

Finally, as apparent compensation for our flight delay in New York, we were invited to have some of our carry-on baggage checked and were told that these items would meet us on the gangway exiting the aircraft in Kyiv. It is baffling to me that clearly no-one bothered to communicate this to the grounds crew in Kyiv. Myself and a handful of other passengers were forced to quickly move through the passport control and leave the international transfer area in order to retrieve our carry-ons from the baggage claim and then go back through security again. It s fascinating that no one simply bothered to make "Luggage will Wait at aircraft" tags that had the instructions printed in both English and Ukrainian so that the grounds crew in Kyiv would know where the luggage should go."

However, once landed in Nyc I was asked to find a crew member before leaving the plane. Once I did, I was told that I got rescheduled once again to a 10:20pm flight (5 hours of waiting). When I asked why was I rebooked again without my notice, they didn't explain and then I asked if there are other earlier flights - I was told yes there are but they won't make any other changes to my travels. Also only their Kyiv office can make any changes the one in Nyc is just following instructions and not a fully functional office (useless)."
