"My wife and I did not get food. There was no chicken left and we can’t eat pork so we didn’t get food. Crew member didn’t ask ask first but left the pork in our table and after I asked him what it was told that was only pork left I asked him to take back. The only thing we can’t eat is pork and that was the only option. I was shocked for a long flight not to have enough food. Crew member never came back to let us that there is no other food available. After we asked and other crew member he checked and confirmed there is no other food. He offered to share his own meal with my wife and I but we refused but we appreciated that. I hope I never have an other experience like that. It wasn’t a good experience. :("

Many customers needed help and it took about an hour for each customer. We waited in line for hours. We were not charged for a new flight, but we did spend 10 exhausting hours in the airport before we had everything resolved and were able to leave and get a few hours of sleep."

Like the boarding process, disembarking was sloppy and confusing. It took a very long time to open the door, and they only told people at the last minute that they needed to get their passports out."

Claro que sim, mas agora não tenho mais "medo" de pedir um copo d'água a mais para os comissários."

For shorter trips TAP doesn't have as many amenities as other airlines, but on this trip the typical video screens with movies, music, etc. was available."

I noticed the other airline attendants seemed to be giving him a really hard time and weren't friendly at all. In fact, I rang a bell to ask for attendant help at one point and no one came to help. I was just a seat back from the area where the helpful airline attendant was available. I think that overall TAP flight staff could be a bit more open to being friendly. However, on the ground in Lisbon I've found the staff to be amazingly helpful."

Upon arrival at our destination with a child in hand, our stroller was not unloaded at the gate so we had to carry our child and all that travels with him to the baggage area. For anyone travelling internationally, you will know this is generally quite a distant from the gate in major airports. The strollers and car seats arrived in baggage 30 minutes after the main luggage. When staff were approached they were short and appeared very disinterested in helping. TAP failed on this flight home."

There were no tv screens on the back of the seats, which was not very pleasant for a 9 hour flight. We tried connecting to the plane's wifi and watching movies on our phones through the Air Canada app, but the wifi was so slow that the movies never even loaded. Additionally, not every row of seats on the sides has a window, and we were in a row that had a wall instead. The plug in our row did not work either so we couldn't charge our phones with it."

I thought perhaps I missed something, however, the three other couples that were in the same predicament I was weren't aware either. This caused a massive headache, the instructions were superbly poor on how to retrieve the luggage, and the process was completely a waste of time. We had to talk with three different people, the person that took us back to the carousel showed no urgency despite us all explaining that we were on a short layover, and might miss our next flight, and even though we had our passes to get through customs, we were made to wait in line to have our baggage inspected. A completely broken process that could've been avoided with a friendly reminder at check-in. 2 - Once I was able to retrieve my luggage I picked it up off the carousel only to find the handle on one piece of luggage had been ripped off, and the plastic lining on the other bag was destroyed. Admittedly I find this to be no surprise after seeing how mine and everyone else's luggage was handled so poorly upon being loaded into the cargo. I saw my luggage being tossed 3-5 feet into the cargo area - literally picked up, and with complete disregard flung like it was a trash bag being thrown into the dumpster. Since I didn't have time to discuss this with any staff due to my prior issue and being unable to find a representative once I landed back in Vancouver, I called the next day to discuss this over the phone, but the representative explained that I was only able to make a complaint in-person at the time of baggage retrieval. The person was absolutely useless and unwilling to help. This was by far the worst treatment I've had at any time in my life while flying any airline. The trip to George Town was with American Airlines, and even though it was longer, and a tad bit more expensive, the service I had with them was stellar by comparison to my experience with AirCanada. Going forward I will only be using AC when there are absolutely no other options."

We were told by other staff members that it was up to them to decide when they were done and to talk them. I ran through the whole airport with about 7 other people to make it. Why make us cross through security only to send us back? There was no one there to guide us on what to do. I had to go through the whole thing again the following day only to have my face cream taken away (it is technically cream, not a liquid) and then be detained. None of this happened AT ALL the day before. I'd give more details but it was a complete mess."

The flight was then delayed over an hour before we were able to board. Once we boarded the flight, we were delayed again an additional hour. We finally took off and landed in Toronto to be delayed yet again before we could go to our gate. Once we go to our gate (close to 30 minutes after landing) the gate would not work and we were stuck on the plan an additional 30 minutes. What was supposed to be about a 9 hour flight turned into almost 12 hours of misery. I will never fly air canada again. The best part about air canada is how every canadian I talked to say "oh yeah, they are such a "terrible" or "shitty" airline."

Because we arrived at the airport VERY early (2:30 AM) for a 3:40 PM flight (Eurail scheduling vagaries required this), we checked our bags at 6AM (the earliest possible time) and worried that they had WAY too much time to screw it up, but they didn't, and even if they had, we were going home! Thy did provide a bottle of water for each seat, which was nice. After a late start, we made up some time and landed only a few minutes late."
Punti negativi: "I know it's not entirely the airlines fault, but the boarding process for this flight was byzantine. first, the gate was in the 'basement' of the terminal and you had to show your boarding pass to get into the gate area and then you couldn't leave - and the bathroom was outside the gate area. Then we waited for 25 minutes in line to get on the bus to take us to our aircraft after the 'last call' for boarding announcement was made. When they finally put us on the bus, it was another 10 minutes standing still, packed in like sardines, until the bus actually moved anywhere. I have NO idea where the plane was, but we drove and drove, and drove around the airfield until we finally pulled up at our plane. They had two boarding ramps up, one in the front and one in the back, and just told us that low row number should board from the front and high numbers from the rear, but they didn't tell us what the demarcation was. With seats in row 31, it turned out we were over the wing, pretty much dead center, so it didn't matter. It would have been nice to have a frame of reference though. Aside from that, the food was EH!, the service courteous and efficient, but not friendly, the seats cramped, the no-extra-cost entertainment insipid (except for the audio portion - they provided a huge assortment of tracks by a wide variety of artists in many genres). With my (brought with me) earbuds, I gave up on any video except the flight map and just listened to classical recordings to drown out the screaming babies in the next row and provide a pleasant background for snoozing."

Punti negativi: "I booked this flight with some skepticism about this airline as I'd never heard of Condor/Thomas Cook, but decided to roll the dice as it was one of only 2 daily direct flights to Europe from Austin, TX. The first indication things weren't going well was during check-in: I was safely there more than 2 hrs ahead of the flight's scheduled departure and the line was nearly out the door. Not enough agents, or not fast enough. Then the worst part: we left over an hour after scheduled departure. The main reason we were late, (and ended up missing our connection in Frankfurt), was penny pinching cheapness at every turn. General boarding, (they don't have any groups besides, 'special needs', 'those with infants/small children' and 'first class passengers'), wasn't even called until 1/2 hr after the scheduled departure. We left over a full hour late from Austin and they didn't make up much time in the air. One thing this airline clearly does, to bring the customer low fares, is cut corners at every chance. That seeemd to include using the required extra fuel to pick up the speed and make up the time from their late departure. Another annoying thing they did to save money was avoid gate fees by parking the plane way out in the middle of nowhere and bussing all the passengers like cattle to every flight. In Austin, this option wasn't available to them, hence their late departure - likely caused by the fact that they couldn't be at the gate when they needed to be, because it had just been in use or there wasn't a ramp available - I don't know, but I'd bet it had to do with trying to save airport fees. I do know that in Frankfurt it felt like they bussed us halfway to Munich to board the airplane, (a 2-3-2 seating setup, btw. I don't remember the equipment). All this ineptitude and trying to save a nickel ended up causing me and my group to miss our connection in Frankfurt. We were traveling on business and it was crucial we made our connection to be on time to our final destination. If you have anything important to do when you arrive at the end of your trip, if you're traveling with this Thomas Cook brand, Condor, make sure you depart a day earlier than you think you need to depart. In my experience, they won't get you there on time. This brings me to their partner airlines, who were legit, real airlines, but didn't have anything to do with Condor/Thomas Cook, and therefore were not there to be helpful at any level beside the basic service they needed to provide a passenger who they viewed as missing their flight. I saw no Condor presence at the Frankfort airport. I doubt they have help/service desks in all the airports they serve. Lufthansa on the way there and SAS on the way back, were their partner airlines. Being late wasn't an option for me and my associates, but neither was traveling the day before to give an extra-extra day ahead to be safe. In my experience, don't count on this airline."

Had to spend extra money for hotel room and car rental in Madrid because our final destination was Sevilla. Will never work with Azores or Kayak again. BTW, did we mention that while "working" with Azores to reschedule flight, we were booked to fly into an island off of Africa. Luckily, we followed up online with the changed itinerary."

SATA/Air Azores has a monopoly on the flights in and out of the Azores to the USA and no other airlines are allowed to flight that route. They should be ashamed of themselves by the way they run this airline and treat the passengers."

In the airport in Portugal, they transport you by bus to the airplane and make you sit on the crowded bus at least 30-45 minutes. Then it takes another hour to load the plane. This is an 8 plus hour flight--they have the same 4 movies both directions."
