All the employees with whom I dealt were excellent and customer-oriented. The planes between Doha and London were new, had more space than older planes and had an excellent selection of movies and TV shows. I ordered special meals on all the flights, and I was very satisfied. I have been a fan of Qatar Airways since I flew it to Australia in 2011. It continues to do a superb job, even in Economy."

But still the leg room would have been ok but the middle seat (second row behind the bilkhead row) had the front passenger's entertainment system arranged across the footwell, not sideways, so it completely blocked the footwell and prevented any stretching of the legs. I am a tall passenger and this caused much discomfort on the flight, I had to keep getting up to walk around. I also found the seat bottom quite uncomfortable (not enough padding I think), butnghis could have been made worse by the footwell issue. Regards Neil"

We wanted to carry on luggage so just needed to print the pass. Swiss was the only airline that wasn’t available on the check-in kiosks. The front desk staff didn’t arrive until closer to 1.5 hours before check in so nearly theall passengers were in a huge line to get passes and check bags."

I mentioned to her "it's not polite to treat people this way" she moved her hands closer to my face thrusting her whole body over my fellow passengers face, and continued yelling at me about turbulence (while she's completely avoiding the rule herself.) He and I were both seated and buckled and not bothering anyone. She could've just taken her own lecture and kept ignoring the signal. I wrote about this in customer support letter that the 'NICE' and 'Helpful' attendant Gave to me that sincerely apologized for the previous attendants behavior."

The solution is very easy as you can setup the screen to your language and the computer can choose to show you only the announcements that is in your language that make sense to you."

Punti negativi: "I've flown Turkish a few times before, and they're generally pretty good for the price. This trip was different. Despite Turkish Airlines policies outlined in their "Customer Rights," I received no notification that the flight was delayed 3 hours, and there was no notification at the JoBurg airport until you go to the counter to check in. JoBurg staff - which are Menzies third-party contractors, not Turkish staff - were disorganized, uncommunicative, and unhelpful. Only one person at the check in desk seemed to have authorization to make any changes, so all other agents were running back and forth to speak with him, and not communicating with passengers. It took over an hour to get clarity on the situation and rebook my connecting flight to Washington for a different flight 8 hours later. The only compensation offered was one meal voucher worth R100 (roughly $7). They would not even look at other Star Alliance flights for early arrival in Washington, and said they were not authorized to consider upgrading my ticket. When I called the Turkish customer service, they essentially said "What do you want us to do about it? You have to submit a formal complaint." Boarding was totally disorganized. In theory there are boarding groups, but after business class and all the high-ranking loyalty members, it's pretty much a mad rush. This seems to be the common practice for Turkish now. In general, Turkish has a great entertainment system on all their long-haul flights, with tons of movies - including very new releases - music, games, etc. They also provide complimentary kits with socks, slippers, eye mask, earplugs and dental kit, even for economy passengers. The meals are fairly good for airlines. However, legroom in economy isn't great. I'm 6'1", and had difficulty getting comfortable with my knees jammed into the back of the seat in front of me. On this particular flight, I was in row 18. The cabin crew were frantic, disorganized, and shouting to each other across passengers. One half of our row was served the meal, and the other half had to wait over 30 minutes to be served for some reason. By that time the vegetarian option was no longer available. Crew also had to run back and forth between service carts because they were frequently out of very common beverages (like sparkling water. And ice.), and on two occasions crew left a drawer from a cart full of trash sitting in the aisle. There were several times that crew ran carts into passengers - including once into my knee that was not in the aisle - and didn't even acknowledge doing so. They also stopped the carts in front of occupied lavatories, temporarily trapping passengers. So not terribly professional. While not specifically on this flight, the experience in Istanbul airport with Turkish Airlines' staff was awful. Zero interest in helping, rude and dismissive, and overall terrible."

The day of the flight our connection flight was delayed we were told someone would escort several of the passengers from Lufthansa to the connection with United no one was there. Several of us ran to where the flight gate was but the plane already left. It turns out other people were also called and turned down United’s offer. So the question is since our flight was purposely overbooked did United take advantage of our situation and just leave and cause all of us great pain and duress with no compensation for all of our inconvenience."

I spent another 25 minutes running around the airport trying to find someone to assist including a ticket agent to adjust my flight. Only to be told I couldn't get a flight out until the next day and I had to pay more for my original ticket for it. I contacted customer service and their response was a simple copy and paste of the rules which I was well aware of (apparently I should have really been there 90 mins before and not 60 according to the site). I only booked with the airline because it offered an 8 hour layover in Athens...a chance to see a bonus city. There are plenty of other airlines with more flexible and consistent policies. I have traveled the world on many airlines and have never had an early check in counter close or to have to chase down a representative to get service."

The smell may or may not have anything to do with the maintenance crew on board and delayed our boarding. No explanation of the smell. Good thing it was a short flight from Athens to Naples"

I then asked a second girl and she said that she'd have to check and she never came back. I finally asked again before landing and she supposedly went and asked someone and came back and said yes they made it. Got to baggage claim - no bags. We had another flight to catch back to the states, so we didn't have time to figure out the situation. We spent the next three days frantically calling Aegean, to no avail. Their customer service either wouldn't answer or would tell us to call London Heathrow lost and found, who wouldn't answer. Eventually, Delta found our bags and had to work with Lufthansa and their own boots on the ground at LHR to find the bags and get them back to us."

I got an email that the gate changed TWICE. the airline employee did not get that memo at all. So we were raced to the wrong gate even AFTER, I mentioned the gate change. A real frustrating experience all together."
