Ecco, Austrian semplicemente non lo sa. Il volo, già in ritardo di mezz'ora - strano - all'altezza di Graz deve rientrare a Vienna per guasto, dicono, all'aria condizionata. Ci dicono che ci daranno informazioni al gate. Può capitare, naturalmente. Solo che: - le informazioni non le danno al gate, ma allo Starbucks dell'aeroporto, senza avere aspettato e neanche avvertito tutti i passeggeri - ci dicono che nonostante i mercatini natalizi ci hanno trovato comunque un hotel, facendolo un po' pesare, mentre è loro dovere, siccome il volo è ritardato al giorno dopo. Peccato che l'hotel è a 120 km e loro non hanno trovato il bus per il trasferimento (incidentalmente, anche questo è da norma di legge un loro dovere...) - alla fine come assistenza in termini di generi di conforto commisurata alla durata del ritardo, 10 ore, il tutto si è ridotto ad una bottiglietta d'acqua e un kit toilette per il mattino. In ragione della distanza degli hotel disponibili siamo stati invitati pressantemente a passare la notte nel terminal, ma: - nessuna assistenza. Dopo i controlli di sicurezza neanche una bottiglietta d'acqua, neanche un voucher colazione, neanche qualche coperta o cuscino per dormire meglio sulle scomodissime sedie/divano. E neanche uno scusate. - nessuna reazione alla possibilità di apertura della business giunge: è chiusa e non la riapriamo per voi. Neanche per farvi dormire un po' meno peggio. - nessuna specifica informazione ai passeggeri sulla evoluzione della situazione - siamo stati abbandonati a noi stessi, in sostanza Violazioni multiple e ripetute del regolamento CE 261/2004. Ma pagheranno, eh, se pagheranno..."

The flight from Toronto to St. John’s was delayed almost 4 hours because a deicing machine guy thought he saw a blemish on the tail of the plane. After that we went to maintenance, after that our flight crew timed out and we went back to the gate, deplaned and waited. Then we got back on THE SAME PLANE and never arrived until 8pm. We should’ve been there at 3pm and lost almost 1/2 a day of our vacation. I will never take this airline again!!!!!"

The new rule went into effect in December, and we hadn't been to Canada since needing a visa. Once we had been accepted, we were passed off to another employee who couldn't figure out why he couldn't check us in. Then another, who said "I'm only helping you because your flight is delayed, the flight should have closed by now." (Not exactly comforting, and considering it took them 2 hours to help, not super helpful either.) - When we ran to the gate, the people running the gate told us that the aircraft hadn't even landed, but weren't communicative in timing, didn't update the time on the boarding screens, etc."

We were late to takeoff due to airport traffic which isn't the airlines fault but then because the customs baggage scanning system went down at Montreal my husband missed his connection - was eventually put on my flight after two trips to ticketing and three calls to aircanada but his bag never arrived in Chicago. We are still waiting for it."

There was a distinct lack of engagement from the crew, in general with passengers , not just my husband and myself."

I don't think coach seats should be 'reclinable' -- the space is much too small. it's rude to do so in such cramped quarters and there's always one rude person. she happened to sit in front of me and never put her seat up the entire flight."

WHEN I BOARDED THE PLANE I COUNTED 7 OVERHEAD STORAGE BINS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE TO MY AISLE WHERE I WAS SEATED WERE NOT FILLED AND THERE WERE SEVERAL SUCH BINS ON MY SIDE OF THE AISLE (I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO COUNT THEM BEFORE I SAT DOWN). I ASKED AN ATTENDANT WHY THIS WAS SO GIVEN WE WERE TOLD THE BINS WERE FILLED JUST AS WE BOARDING FROM THE DEPARTURE AREA. SHE WAS POLITE AND SAID SHE WASN'T SURE ABOUT WHO MADE THE ANNOUNCEMENT IN THE TERMINAL BUT THAT IN ANY EVENT MY CARRY ON WOULD ARRIVE SAFE AND SOUND IN VANCOUVER - IT DID BUT WITH MY BOOK FOOD SNACK WHICH i HAD INTENDED TO USE WHILE ON MY WAY TO CHI. AND VAN."

Punti negativi: "il volo San Francisco Toronto è partito in ritardo e durante tutto il volo il personale non è stato in grado di darci alcuna informazione riguardo alla connection per Milano (medesima compagnia.....). Tutti quelli che avevano coincidenze strette sull'aereo per ogni parte del mondo erano allibiti da questa mancanza di informazioni, Una volta arrivati a Toronto il personale di terra non sapeva nulla e siamo dovuti correre fino al gate seguendo le indicazioni dei monitor che davano lo stato del volo come "Boarding". Arrivati trafelati al gate abbiamo scoperto che il volo era partito mezz'ora prima e si erano dimenticati di aggiornare lo stato del volo sui monitor......................... Dopo un'ora di attesa al banco dell'assistenza ci hanno mandati in hotel e dato il biglietto per il volo del giorno successivo. Parte dei pasti li abbiamo pagati di tasca nostra visti i pochi dollari di buono per mangiare (7$ per la colazione, 10$ per pranzo e 15$ per la cena, spendibili esclusivamente all'Holiday Inn dove la sola colazione a buffet costava 17$ + tasse..."

Viaggio tantissimo, ma non mi era mai capitato, neanche nelle low cost, che passando con il carrello delle bevande, la hostess sbraitasse "Something?" ai passeggeri, quasi correndo, e che sembrasse addirittura scocciata se viene fermata per dell'acqua!! Pessima impressione, che ha reso ancora più sgradevole un red-eye flight che già di per sè non è un'esperienza piacevole."

They handed us off to the Delta counter with no apology (except the "new girl" apologized)"
