Treatment of foreigners in general at the LAX airport, on my flight at least, were unprofessional and inconsiderate. The one that was suppose to fly out at 12:50 on 1/6/18 delayed until 17:25 (with acceptable communication the first delay) but then later delayed till 00:10 after I’ve already arrived at the airport early for the 17:25 departure. The screens with arrivals and departures posted that Checkin was open but there was no JAL staff to answer questions. Then getting an update “maybe” the 00:10 flight is cancelled? What is maybe cancelled and JALs phone messege still said the flight would depart at 00:10. So I go back to JFK because after all “maybe” isnt a definitive and according to all the direct JAL sources the flight is suppose to depart, I get to JFK the second time only to be given a printout saying the flight is cancelled with no rebooking, and to call for assistance. The same number is been calling for hours trying to get answers. coukdnt reschedules because I’m calling outside of business hours! I spent $200 on cab rides going back and forth to JFK to go nowhere, get no apology, no new flight booking, and no reimbursement for transportation."

Broker in between introduce by website made it impossible to rebook flight in practice. Those website are very practical to look for flights but unless they give you the company direct you are better off switching to company site and book it there. Broker not equipped to be of any help."

"Food from Philippines to Japan was excellent but served a little late. Food from Japan to USA WAS LOUSY and they only served hot food one time for breakfast which means 2 hours away from arrival. Hot food meal should have been served 2 hours after boarding in an airport where everything ia closed after 9 pm. Some of the connecting passengers did not have a hot meal for at least 12 hours or maybe more."

Japanese-style hospitality, respect and quality of service (which is beyond the heavens) shows from check-in to landing (and even post-landing.) The in-flight meals, inspired by Japanese recipes of the Japanese destination or origin, were finely made - that goes even for Economy Class. When there was a delay that was ultimately out of their control, they made things right with post-landing arrangements. Never take any other country's airline when flying into Japan - always always ALWAYS take ANA whenever you can. (Avoid codeshares, too!!)"

People queue up, then they swivel the pole round so I'm in the wrong queue now. Try to move, lose place in queue, they swivel it back the way it was... Good airline but boarding especially for domestic is disorganised with poor signage etc."

If you're further back or not so tall s difficult to see which queue is correct... quite a few people (not me fortunately!) got turned away because they don't know ANA's boarding system. Also a problem with boarding at HND where the overhead monitors show BIz but not First/Diamond. As some other reviews pointed out, BBC news just didn't work. CNN worked intermittently."

Punti negativi: "During the same trip I discovered 2 different arrangements of the Business Class cabin on Singapore Airlines A350, SQ469 CMB-SIN, and SQ036 SIN-LAX. On the SQ036, I occupied seat 15 A (mono, aisle-window): I did not understand the reasoning behind this layout: Seat facing straight the front of the aircraft, but not enough space to stretch the legs, and limited height for the footrest, feet getting hurled against a ceiling very quickly, and also footrest only on one side = one foot. The deep cavity, that is probably meant to house the lie-flat disposition, is at a 45° angle with the general direction of the seat. I am 77 and not in any way a contortionist. I decided that the best course of action was to remain seated for the duration of the 14:30 hours, flight without extending my legs. Maybe the crew could have explained how the passenger is supposed to fit into that weird design, but I did not ask, afraid that the demonstration might reawaken chronic shoulder and hip pain. I would be glad to read (not test) how this configuration is supposed to convey the sense of comfort expected from a Business Class ticket. It did nothing of the kind for me."
