Come to find out that they don't offer anything complimentary. You must pay for everything including coffee and soda. I have never flown on an in airline like this. I did not find the flight attendants particularly friendly as well."

Indeed, my carry-on arrived with several scratches on the plastic edges as well as some signs of worn on the textile. Because of this carry-on baggage size restrictions, I will not fly TAP airlines again (unless I can travel with my hand purse only)."

We were charged 462.00 extra to take the next flight out 3hours later. We were charged twice for the same flight from Portugal to Rome. It was not our fault that we could not connect in Portugal, every other airlines would make resonable accommodations with out any extra charge. We both feel cheated by tap airlines and it made our vacation very stressful trying to resolve the double charge. It has not been resolved as of yet and we our very disappointed on how we were treated. can’t get anything other than the blame being passed around."

The seats didn’t recline, the food was terrible, no options were given for food, and the movies were pre-picked. No one had a choice in what they watched. Very outdated. I had 2.5 hours to board my connecting flight and they caused me to miss it. As I waited in the customs line entering Lisbon, I asked a TAP representative if I’d have to get out of the line up and go right through as my flight left at 2:10 pm. They said you will make it, stay in line. I get near the front of the line 2 hours later... hundreds of people were in this line and they only had 2/10 customs agents available!!! I ask another representative how far my gate is since my flight leaves in 30 min and she told me “no you missed it. but don’t worry others will be missing it too”. So no I did not miss it, you caused me to miss it cause I already asked if I would and you people told me no. I run to the gate, which has now changed to the other end of the airport, so I run to that gate and it is 10 min before the flight is to take off. I ask the desk agent at the gate and he tells me the flight has already left. Others had missed it too due to the insane customs line up. So the plane left 20 mins earlier than scheduled with only half it’s passengers..... unbelievable!!! When I went to the service desk they did not show any sympathy or apologetic behaviours whatsoever."

Punti negativi: "My wife and I arrived to the airport for our honeymoon extremely excited. We had been saving for our trip to Italy for months, and we were finally going to get things started. Everything fell apart when we went to check in and we were told that my wife couldn’t use her ticket because she had changed her last name. We were told that there was no way that the name on the ticket could be changed because of TSA regulations. Of course, we were also told that we could have changed the name had we purchased a more expensive ticket. In other words, we were lied to and told the issue was regulation, when really they wouldn’t help us because we couldn’t afford a more expensive ticket. The only help we were given was the pleasure of paying over $1,500 more to get my wife on the flight. I am in the process of trying to get this refunded, but as of now we have paid twice for my wife to fly, and neither ticket has been refunded. We may have accidentally broken a rule, but the only function that rule seems to have is to make us pay twice for the same seat. As of now, I would never fly this airline again, and I would warn everyone away from it. I will update this post if TAP does the right thing by two honeymooners."

There was an incessant, loud high-pitched buzzing noise for the entire duration of the flight (we were seated in the very back row so it was particularly loud for us, but others further up said it was bad for them too). I don't blame the crew for any of this, as I know most, if not all, of it was out of their control. However, I would be very nervous to flight TAP again due to this experience."

The space in the seats was almost criminal for an 8 hour flight. Pretty the equivalent of having people shoulder to shoulder. Impossible to try and sleep on an overnight flight. During mid flight I noticed that I had a lot of trouble breathing and thought it was just me. My wife said the same thing to me and someone on the flight needed medical assistance for oxygen. It was extremely hot the whole flight with no ability to control the air flow which made it even worse. The entertainment selection was good however the device was almost unsable because it was very laggy and it wouldn't select what you wanted. It was easily the worst experience I had and I only really went into some of the details. Having trouble breathing was by far the worst part and I couldn't believe it. My flight back was glaringly better so I'm perplexed by why this was so bad."

We remained on the plane while mechanic/engineering staff rectified the problem. We booked a flight to save time on driving. We would have arrived earlier had we drove. I understand things happen, but the airline eneds to take responsibility and show some good customer service. Aside from the pilot, no apology given, no reimbursement offered. Disappinting. Air Canada is now a last-resort option for a frequent flyer like myself."

Punti negativi: "The boarding was a serious problem as there were no well defined waiting areas for over 400 people to board, blocking the way for other people to walk around the gates. The Toronto airport decided to board two flights to Frankfurt by two different airlines directly next to each other at about the same time, leading to lots of confusion. My frustration was increased by the fact that the airline managed to forget my luggage at transfer, while my travel companions was "just" delayed. during flight while the service was good, the quality of food was very low. The frustration was even further increased , the through the delay of the plane and the luggage problems our rental car reservation was expired as they only hold cars for 1 hour after scheduled reservation. The later not the fault of the airline, but i will certainly consider other airlines and rental car companies in my future Travel consideration unless the return trip experience changes my mind."
