I traveled with an infant who required warming up of her milk in a bottle and I would ask for hot water and she failed to bring it over. I requested hot water twice. Initially when the plane was taking off- she stated she cannot bring anything while the flight was taking off but even after take off and in cruising altitudes she did not come over until we rang the call bell and another flight attendant came over. Second time mid flight we happen to ask the same flight attendant for hot water as she passed by— she nodded her head but again never returned with the hot water. Again I hit the call button and another attendant came over and gave me water. I felt that she did not like attending to the flight guests and always seemed to give an attitude. I understand traveling with a child may be hard for others, but imagine the parents who have to care for a starving baby. The flight was also a bit too warm."

Also, I did not appreciate when the gate agent told me that I could not be reimbursed for ground transportation because my flight was weather delayed not mechanically delayed. I understand that he/she may not have known what was the issue with my original flight out of Salt Lake. But, telling me that I would have to pay for ground transportation at 1 am to get the last 30+ miles to my destination made me really worried. If he/she didn't know and didn't have the time or resources to figure it out, I would have preferred if she redirected me to someone else or a phone number or email."

It was a nightmare... not the way you want to start a vacation. I had difficulty booking my daughter's seat online for the return, but didn't have access to phone service while abroad. In my complaint letter to Swiss Air I requested they place us together. I never got a response and upon check in, they had my son and me in our purchased seats and my daughter at the back of the plane. I asked them if they could do anything about it (I was even willing to give up my seats to move to the back...) yet no one seemed concerned or interested in helping to make this work. They also had no knowledge of my complaint or appeared concerned about my prior experience. I'm so over Swiss Air. My experience with the employees on the phone prior to my first departure, the lack of response to my email, and a disinterested and inattentive staff on my return, have all convinced me to choose a different airline next time."

I would think they would save money if they flew an empty plane down to Dar es Salaam, picked up those passengers and then flew back to Nairobi. No way should an 8.5 hour flight take over 11.5 hours. Plus my screen didn't work for one of the flights, nearly 12 hours without entertainment was BS. No real variety in their meals either. The first leg had a main meal of beef and potatoes as the meat option, same option for the second leg."

It makes a big difference in comfort levels for such a long flight."

Shortly after take-off, our calm and comfortable more or less empty section of the aircraft was colonised by an extended family of Orthodox Jews in a kind of airborne West Bank situation. They weren’t in our section of the cabin at all to start with, and I don’t know why they were apparently able to get a free upgrade that I had to pay £100 for. We went from being in an almost empty cabin to being basically sat in the middle of an Orthodox Jewish kindergarten. It was awful! They were noisy, messy, were constantly getting in and out of their seats, the back of my seat kept getting kicked, and there was even a baby crawling around the aisle. We were surrounded. I have no idea whether this is characteristic of Orthodox Jewish family life, or just a completely inconsiderate family. They didn’t exactly ruin my flight, but they didn’t make it enjoyable either. I asked to be moved. The cabin crew were great and acknowledged the difficulty of the situation. My wife lost her window seat but at least we still had the legroom and peace and quiet."

It caused A HUGE INCONVENIENCE for us since we are in Zambia for 6 weeks without our gear to paddle one of the most challenging rivers in the world... the Zambezi. Now we are constantly trying to acquire the proper equipment with very little success. We run a nonprofit called the Montana Kayak Academy which provides free whitewater instruction to youth between 8 &18 yrs old and we will be sure to tell everyone we know to NOT TRAVEL WITH EITHER VIRGIN ATLANTIC OR BRITISH AIRWAYS.... EVER!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Now we had lost are spot in the line and had to go to the back of the line. We spoke to 3 different staff people about what was going on and everyone said, oh the guy over there will help you. But no one did. The staff had No idea how to run a security check or handle paople. There was No working wifi! There was no tvs in the seats, only the old style in the aisle. The staff told me the plan was going to retire at the end of the month. The food was more for animals then for humans! We got updates by txt 10 mins before the staff updated the gate on our flight out from SFO. I have traveled all over the world with a lot of airlines and Never had such a poor service, but what is it to expect. It was United after all!"

We were practically running to get to the end. The layout of the airport is very tough to get from point A to point B. Walking a long distance with multiple security checks. On top of that, the plane was almost an hour late boarding and then taking off. It was a mass of people with no way to cue for an orderly boarding process. No instructions or info given to allow us to go get something to eat or drink prior to boarding."

It was so bad that when the stewardess came rolling down the aisle with her cart, I had to be aware and see her in advance so I could literally TURN MY BODY OVER TO THE LEFT HALF ON TOP OF THE PERSON SITTING NEXT TO ME SO SHE WOULDN'T TAKE OFF MY ARM AND SHOULDER. ULTIMATELY, SOMEONE, OR MORE THAN ONE PERSON, IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT BY THIS RECKLESS, GREED-DRIVEN DESIGN!! The OVERT GREED by the airline (American) clearly reflected by this in trying to JAM as many human beings into a flight as possible like Sardines is DISGUSTING!!! You simply DO NOT TREAT HUMAN BEINGS THIS WAY!! It is also clear evidence that there needs to be tighter standards, regulations and penalties by the FAA and what is allowed by airlines. AND I AM SENDING A LETTER TO THE FAA!!!"

After our horrible flight from San Diego to London, we decided to upgrade our returning flight from London to San Diego to a economy plus premier. This time the plane seems newer and recently refurbished. The seat can recline more, with lump bar support and nice foot/leg rest. It has a bit more legroom. The cabin is nice and new with large view touchscreen TV for each seat. Gluten free meal was good, I'm just glad they finally boarded the plane with my GF meal (after repeated unsuccessful attempts). The service was great, our BA attendants were polite and attentive."

I showed them the confirmation I had recieved and all they could say was "that is confusing". There was very little empathy or attempt to help. As a result I was forced to leave the suitcase behind with my acquaintance in London and do an in airport shuffle of all of my belongings. The flight was great but beware emails that may not match up with online info."

Extremely frustrating to deal with check-in process as well--because we booked on Finnair, we could not use online system. This was an aggravation considering we were traveling. And--one of our bags was left behind in London. \"

The flight itself was very pleasant, the crew very accommodating, & the food, snacks & beverages very good. The entertainment provided was certainly suitable for my tastes & kept me occupied for the majority of the trip. There was also blackout time provided for sleeping. The seats were a little cramped, but overall I rate my experience as very good."

I then called British airways to do so and after 15 min of the agent trying to get seats, she told me that there was a shutdown and no passengers were able to do so and everyone had to book seats at airport. When I got to Heathrow, the agent told me that was not true and everyone was able to book online.. Misleading!"

Punti negativi: "Boarding was a bit chaotic. Everyone was all bunched up and you could not get through when your rows were called. Also, when they "boarded by rows" the called rows 23-50+ all at once so that people were all bunched up in the isles of the plane. It really did not help"
Punti positivi: "It's a direct flight, it runs on time, the staff on the ground and on the flight are professional, courteous, and helpful. If you are lucky enough to have an empty seat next to you, the seating is quite comfortable, with adequate foot and stretching room."
Punti negativi: "For in-flight entertainment, the ceiling-mounted screens along the aisle are hard to see and offer no choices for viewing. The food, as usual, was poor. I ordered vegetarian meals, and on the return trip for both meals was given the same soggy pasta with tomato sauce--no protein (why not add a few chickpeas or white beans?)."

What made me very frustrated and angry is that when I contacted Finnair to reschedule the flight I was told the flight was managed by British Airways and I would have to contact them When I contacted British Airways they said it was a Finnair flight and I had to contact them. I finally had no recourse but to buy another ticket through another airline. I feel that I should be reimbursed for my Finnair ticket from London to New York! I paid for a flight I never took. (The Finnair flight from New York to London was fine.)"
Punti negativi: "First of all, though this was booked as a Finnair flight, Finnair was never part of the process after the booking. We rec'd an email from Kayak saying we could check in 36 hrs early - not so. Even at the 24 hr mark, we were unable to check in via Finnair - had to go to British Airways. Finnair was not represented at either airport - British Airways. On the return, British Airways canceled our flight (2 hrs before takeoff), and we could not get a non-stop flight home. This meant that we had to change terminals, retrieve our bags at the layover, recheck, etc. which of course, added 3 hrs to the original length of the trip. Where's our compensation? We paid for a round trip non-stop flight."
Punti positivi: "Although I booked this as Finnair, it was actually a British Airways flight, as I knew it would be. And it was fine--I don't think Finnair gets much credit, but whatever. I'd actually have liked to travel with someone more exotic!"

Punti negativi: "I booked this trip thinking it was with a European carrier - I had specifically wanted to avoid an American carrier. I was unable to confirm my flight online and had to ring because at NO POINT was I sent info that it was AA and not Finnair. I was charge almost $60 for this service because I did not have the right references sent with my confirmation email. T he seats were cramped and uncomfortable, I was unable to pick my seat on any flight and despite my request could not change it. Boarding at Chicago was a farce, none of the ground crew seemed to be in charge and we barely started boarding with 20 mins to takeoff. Needless to say the flight left late and we had to wait to take off, and of course had to wait to land in London."

Punti positivi: "I took the bus back and forth from SF to London. Overseas I am now in contemplation of only flying British Airways from now on. The ride is comfortable, enjoyable, entertaining, adequate space, excellent service, food and drinks are the best I have had, and exceptional services and attention. This goes for both flights. I have been recommending Britsh Airways over the last several weeks to pretty much everyone I know. My family and I will be looking to British Airways for overseas flights as a priority."
