Finally drove another 50 meters to the airplane, and waited some more before finally boarding. Once on board there was another delay of some 20 minutes before we could taxi. All of this meant we arrived quite late in Istanbul and missed all connections."

The crew was courteous but the hostesses could try smiling a bit more. Their courtesy was appreciated but it felt very methodical, more of an obligation and not spontaneous. The pilot did a great introduction and gave information about the trip. Also the plane toilets were clean compared to other companies. So I paid $150 more over the other airlines for the lay flat seating on my 8 hour flight from Katmandu to Istanbul and another 10 hours on to JFK. Well the seats weren't lay flat so I feel like I got played by Kayak and didn't have a very comfortable flight."

After boarding I realized some exit sits are available. As a Turkish man who worked JFK for.Turkish airlines, I think this was awful experience. Turkish airlines and passengers deserve better service and honest employees"

We were all trapped on board for about 4 or so hours without much communication from the crew or captain which made me very anxious. We arrived 5 hrs late and it put my whole trip in jeopardy. Based on this experience, I eont be inclined to use this airline again for future trip planning. This airline will need to work hard to earn my trust back because i felt physically and emotionally unsafe throughout the experience, many times."

The bin was only big enough for 1 backpack. 2 of the 3 of us in that row had to go 2 rows back to store our luggage. This is very inconvenient when deboarding because I have to wait for many others to pass before I get a chance to walk towards the back of the plane to get my luggage."

Letting us know our 8am flight would be 3 hours late, every flight of theirs was late by hours. Seems like it’s the same everyday. We could have slept in another couple hours easily instead of coming to the airport at 6am.

All and all it was an easy flight. We were in business class. Strangely, while we were offered some food which we did not want, we were never offered anything to drink including water. The boarding process was a bit chaotic. Everyone had to identify there bags at the plane as a safety precaution which was fine. But the communications about this was non existent. Israel has a very strict protocol for entry. There is an entry form that must be filled in and then, if everything is ok, you get an e-mail approval that you must show to the airline. Instead of asking for this they asked to see our “green passport” which is only a document to be used in Israel. Luckily, we had copies of ours. All of this is not significant. As someone that lives in Israel but love Egypt, I am so happy that we have direct flights now.

As usual, Egyptair was late in departing, so I was late in arriving in Cairo for the connecting flight. It was a short one hour flight, but being 15 minutes late is not good.

Also, I suggest avoiding long layovers in the Cairo airport. There are few chairs outside the eating areas."

Somewhat there has to be a better way to manage this and make the experience safer and more comfortable to everybody. For instance, just enforcing to stay in line and organizing the lines would have saved everybody a lot of time and effort."
