The time flew because by the time the movie had finished, we were starting to descend. I will always look for this flight with Emirates. There is no other flight in comparison, in what you get for your Buck. I believe that other Airlines, ie., Qantas, Virgin Aust, both give you a flight and service, for nearly the same fare but you only get 7kg luggage, no meal just the basic entitlement, tea/coffe/water with a biscuit or something like that and NO ENTERTAINMENT, NO COMPARISON!!!!"

It was a nightmare... not the way you want to start a vacation. I had difficulty booking my daughter's seat online for the return, but didn't have access to phone service while abroad. In my complaint letter to Swiss Air I requested they place us together. I never got a response and upon check in, they had my son and me in our purchased seats and my daughter at the back of the plane. I asked them if they could do anything about it (I was even willing to give up my seats to move to the back...) yet no one seemed concerned or interested in helping to make this work. They also had no knowledge of my complaint or appeared concerned about my prior experience. I'm so over Swiss Air. My experience with the employees on the phone prior to my first departure, the lack of response to my email, and a disinterested and inattentive staff on my return, have all convinced me to choose a different airline next time."

Punti negativi: "The flight from Nairobi to Zurich starts in Nairobi, flies an hour south to Dar es Salaam, you then sit on the tarmac for an hour, then you fly north for an hour until you get back to the starting point. I would think they would save money if they flew an empty plane down to Dar es Salaam, picked up those passengers and then flew back to Nairobi. No way should an 8.5 hour flight take over 11.5 hours. Plus my screen didn't work for one of the flights, nearly 12 hours without entertainment was BS. No real variety in their meals either. The first leg had a main meal of beef and potatoes as the meat option, same option for the second leg."

Also, the screen was terrible quality and I could not see no matter how I adjust the screen angle or the light."

I am only 5'7", 150lbs, but for the first time ever could not reach my belongings in the under-the-seat space in front of me. Seriously, it was that cramped."

It makes a big difference in comfort levels for such a long flight."

Departed 25 min late with no explanation. Arrival time was very off due to late departure but would have appreciated a better estimate.

I liked the timeliness of the departure and arrival, and the crew were good. The turbulence was rough, though.

The whole experience was great. Boarding is so orderly. The staff is super helpful. The wifi works great the whole flight so I was able to text for the entire flight. The best part was that it was orderly even when we were exiting the flight.

The customer service person was not at all helpful, and told me there were no other flights available on any airline until the next day. However, I was able to go online and book another flight immediately...which means that she was either being disingenuous or actively undermining efforts to get me home in a timely fashion. Very disappointing and as a SkyMiles member would have thought there would be some level of common courtesy dealing with a non-weather related delay that drastically impacted my travel plans."

Due to rough air conditions, no in-flight service, or very limited one - and all of those are fine by me, and not the airlines' fault at all. But then, during all these unexpected conditions, I can't even use the in flight entertainment system as i use Bluetooth earphones, and to get earphones I have to buy them for 2$. To earn excellent service, inspite of all the delays, AC malfunction and unpleasantness all you had to do was give those 2$ earphones for free. I have another flight with SkyTeam coming up and I do hope it won't be as unpleasant as it is a much longer flight."

As half the passengers had boarded, someone announced that we had to have everyone boarded and seated in 5 minutes, or else the crew would time out, and we’d have to stay in WPalm. This set off a frenzy, with seated passengers yelling at the people boarding to hurry!! I was told by the pilot while exiting in LGA, that we made it by 30 seconds! It could’ve been handled so much better!"

He asked them whether they wanted pretzels or peanuts, but they misheard him and asked for a ginger ale. I happened to know that he did have ginger ale, since my wife had just gotten one, but rather than just pouring the old folks a drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" They misheard again and asked him whether he had a diet ginger ale. Again, rather than just pour them the drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" This went round and round a few more times -- like a poorly designed computer UI that refuses to accept anything except the correct input -- before the old couple finally figured out the disconnect and picked their snacks before their drinks. Very weird."

However, it's impossible to get a e-visa to allow Americans to leave the airport to take advantage of this. There is one hotel inside the airport, however it's extremely expensive and booked well in advance. While the service was decent on the plane, inside the airport the TA employee's were very rude and not at all helpful. So be prepared to spend the night on the floor or an uncomfortable bench. Won't fly on this airline ever again."

Also, the cabin crew could have been a little more helpful to passengers. They kind of stood around and did nothing when a gentleman and his child got on the airplane and other people were clearly sitting in his seats. The man had to straighten out the situation with the people who were in the wrong seats. The flight crew needed to have been assertive, ask politely for people's boarding passes and taken care of the conflict, not the customer. My flight was late and I missed my connection to Seattle. Turkish Air did put us up for the night and provided meals without a hassle."

A meeting that I had initially scheduled in Chicago was cancelled and would have meant an extra day of travel and hotel stay. By allowing us to go directly to LAX we got home a day earlier and didn't have the hassle of going through customs, checking in & out of a hotel and going through another set of security checks with all our bags. Additionally, we had great service, food and entertainment. Especially liked the wifi that allowed me to read and send emails, texts and do some work."

Impressive. On our return journey, no such luck! No attendant to meet us, and a huge line at immigration, full of panicked and stressed-out passengers jockeying for position, with no-one from ANY airline there to do a triage for those with the shortest connections. Ridiculous. In addition, the passport-scanning machines were very slow and quirky. My own passport was rejected because there was no evidence I had passed through Munich on my outward bound journey!! RIDICULOUS. I managed to slip through to a human being and begged the immigration officer to let me go through with my husband, who had had no such problem. The officer told me he could not find a stamp from my earlier transit through!!! Eventually I suppose he did because he let me through. The stamp was there, I found it, but it had been sloppily applied and was half off the page...hence the rejection by the scanner. We made the flight by minutes. NOT GOOD! Surely Lufthansa could do better in their own country???"

When transferring her to the gate, they took her in a bus and did not strap the wheel chairs next to her chair. All of them fell on her - YES! THEY ALL FELL FROM A HEIGHT ON A HANDICAPPED PERSON WHO HAS ARTHRITIS AND IN PAIN ALL THE TIME. Damaged her knee joints. This is why we travel business class - and they hurt her more than if we took her our selves."

Single. One. I have always felt as a burden to crew if I asked for extra water or an extra blanket- not on this flight, not with this crew. They came around multiple times per hour during an 8hr and 20min flight, offering various beverages and checking on everyone. I can’t thank them enough for how caring they were to everyone on board. The captain as well was very professional and had a kind spirit when he spoke. Best experience I’ve ever had- (and I travel multiple times per year!)"
