Oil change warning in the car came on, and customer service told me to have the oil changed and be reimbursed. Drop-off agent told me I violated protocol and shouldn’t have changed the oil (and paid for it out of pocket), all while typing and not making eye contact. I was then threatened with the $450 cleaning fee - which I didn’t violate. I’ll never rent from Avis again. Terrible experience.Recensione del 23 lug 2023

A previous renter had obviously smoked an our car, as our car smelled of stale cigarette smoke. We didn't fully appreciate this until we had driven out of the lot and it was very late at night and there was a line of about 80 people at the Avis counter, so we could not realistically go back and exchange it. Avis should not be renting cars in which people have obviously smoked. Now all of our clothes and belonging smell like steel cigarette smoke. Yuck!Recensione del 24 feb 2023

By the time I opted for full liability, toll coverage, and prepaid fuel, I spent $220 per day for a car rental. It was lovely to receive an upgrade to a Ford Mustang; notwithstanding, I found myself flabbergasted by the next cost: $441 for 48 hours of a car rental. Post Script: I didn’t receive specific directions or an address for the car rental return address. This oversight delayed my travel time unduly.Recensione del 21 nov 2022
