I was late by 10 mins getting to the ticket counter and Emirates gave my seat away. I then proceeded to attempt to rebook and the Emirates agent advised they are sold out for the next 3 days and have no flight alternatives to offer. I contact flight network and the person I spoke proceeds to tell me the same thing and there is nothing they can do for me. Basically that I would need to purchase a whole new ticket on another airline as Emirates doesn't have availability. Which I did. Now I'm looking online and Flight Network has my exact flight on Emirates available at same price I paid for my ticket. But now my new ticket purchased to get home is non-refundable. I'm out over 1000 dollars because of bad info. This has been a horrific experience and after being loyal to Kayak for years.... I will never use the site again."

We had seats in row 52 BC - a bulkhead outside the mid galley ....it was an incredible experience to watch the crew start eating from containers, peeling apples and making salads from a plastic bag before the passengers were served. The flight attendants when not eating were taking selfies ...so much for the "emirates experience. The curtain was drawn once for about 15 minutes between our seats and tghe galley area. I was so amazed at the lack of professionalism and the amount of food consumed by the attendants I took photos of the constantly stuffing food in their moths and then trying to speak to passengers."

I am not sure how you could gain compliance, but it would be a good idea."

Since on the in-bound flight they did not get assistance during the layover in Istanbul, I called on multiple occasions to their customer service to complain. I was directed towards their website where I had to fill out a complaint form - of course the form is simply to allow customers to vent - no one contacted me to apologize or remediate the situation. On their return journey, I once again confirmed over the phone and at the check in counter that the wheel chair assistance would be available. I was able to secure this for the first leg, however that was it. They were once again left high and dry during the Istanbul layover. They have lower prices, but the quality of customer service is very inferior. If you can afford to pay a bit more - avoid using Turkish. If you do use - certainly be prepared to have any special requests ignored and to be confronted by inefficient customer service."

Punti negativi: "- Rude airport staff at Ataturk. - Completely disorganized staff and management - 9/10 times, the flights are VERY WARM inside... You have to negotiate to get them to lower the temp to 23 degree C or 73 F (basic comfort) - Turkish airline is overcome by the GREED of making big revenue numbers. While growth is good, their airport in Istanbul (Ataturk) falls ruefully short of expectations. Most flights arriving and leaving don't get a gate... people are are on buses all the time. - I found an elderly lady who asked me for help as she had lost her passport and been wandering for hours inside the terminal. For the next 2 hours, I went from desk to desk, office to office, police, Turkish staff, everyone... not one person was willing to help... not even the police. Finally I had to leave her in a massive immigration line where they told me they would find someone who spoke her language and find out what had happened. These guys will make the WORST third world country airport look good!"

No explanations whatsoever, the craziest experience, completely messed our plans to get a bite up, I wish we were given some information ahead of time that we are going to be sitting in a single room zone. When we arrived late in FRA, the gate attendant was extremely rude while trying to rebook and actually left us in the middle of rebooking because her shift ended. No one came to take her place!! She actually swore at us!! We were only able to rebook by calling the Lufthansa call centre and had to spend a very uncomfortable overnight at the airport without any certainty of when we would fly out. Lufthansa finally got us out on the same flight as booked but 24 hours later. And then, of course, they lost our luggage. Terrible overall experience."

They exuded a joyful atmosphere and seemed like never sat down! This was the third leg of our long trip and they made it so enjoyable.. That is a lot as a passenger is quite tired and possibly irritable by this time. This was an Austrian Airline flight and we were really blown away.. I also give kudos to management for having staff that is so efficient, hardworking and yet so joyful!"

Apparently, the NY to LAX flight that KLM booked us on, was only one leg of the flight to Sydney Australia; and according to some airline agreement, only Australian nationals are permitted to take that flight! Running around at JFK from terminal four, to terminal seven, to terminal eight, back to terminal four, to get a flight out, was a bit much considering how tired we were – not to mention hungry, since KLM neglected to provide the kosher meals we had requested with plenty of time – BOTH going to and returning from Europe."
