Also a very disappointing selection of films and documentaries for adults. I ended watching a kids movie with my older daughter and it was the only thing I found appealing. Kids section very good though, my 5-year old was glued to the screen and all the options had my approval :)"

They also pressurized us to decide quickly. our each check in baggage was over weight 1 KG or less than 1 KG due to faulty scale at home. Instead of giving us a choice or advice that you are allowed two more hand bags. They pressurized us to make one baggage over weight from all 7 bags and harassed us to do it quickly because they are closing counter in 20 minutes. That's how they charged me another $65. Also they lied on the counter that your seats are in a row but when i went into the plane our seats were separate. Lesson learned don't trust the person over the counter of Qatar airways."

I heard no announcements, maybe because it didn't matter as everyone was crowding the door 15 minutes before boarding began. The agent seemed perturbed, but I've seen it on almost every Italian bound flight. No one wants to wait. It is actually a bit amusing to watch the struggle between boarding policies and a group of people who seem determined to ignore them. The buses were also pretty well packed. More so in Rome than IST. Not much organization in loading at either place. After all the passport control they left us to walk outside to wait for the bus. Maybe you can tell I'm not a fan of remote gates."

When we arrived we have been told nothing (even though we shared our concern from the beginning, they didn’t care at all, connection from the same company), when we went out of the plane we ask a crew member in the exit corridor who replied like annoyed of the question that’s fine take next on the left and next on the right (more with gesture than with an English language) when we arrived after running at the transfer gate we asked about the connection to Sydney the first staff told us that the gate was already closed and it’s too late, we then asked what to do : go in this queue and didn’t want to speak anymore. When we arrived at the desk we have been told gate is closed, wait on the side we’ll see later, we asked when and have been replied later....after 30min we have been told that there is no other flight before the day after (same company, different speech...) and wait again....there is another flight the day after in the morning with 6 seats available only...for the rest we don’t know we have to check but it’s gonna be hard because it’s the high season : Unbelievable as we were 15-20 people in this situation...after a couple of hour we have been offered to travel via Vietnam with a stop of 9 extra hours before having another flight of 9hours if we didn’t accept this one they didn’t know... Never ever again with this company and this airport..."

Due to the ignorance & laid back attitude on your part i couldn't reach my destination on my time. Seriously it took me "24 hrs Extra" to reach my destination & as a result of which i couldn't perform the cremation. I was pissed off by the service; complete ignorance by the staff/officials of ur airlines. I wasn't expecting this kind of treatment from a reputed company like you. I request you guys to look into this matter seriously and try to take some corrective measures so that this thing won't happen in future with someone else."

All he said at that time was "sorry for the delay,";no explanation. The flight attendance kept saying 20 mins. The captain locked the crew door so the crew also had no idea what was going on. The 6+hour delay wasn't the problem. Things happen. The problem was the non existing communication. I read the the regulations for delays like that on their website and it stated that after 4 hours they have to give us the option to get off the plane. That didn't happen until 30 mins before we took off. It also stated that the captain needs to keep us updated every 30 mins. That again, didn't happen. People were hysterical, for obvious reasons. Ithe was the worst flight I have ever taken."

After discussing it with the crew for half an hour on a full flight they were able to move us to other seats. But were unable to move us to business or first for a discount. End point: these seats should not be used! It was so miserable even thinking we might get stuck with them. And if they do stick people there you should be comped, that was not worth the same fare everyone else payed for coach."

When we asked for water to be able to take necessary medications during the flight, we were told we had to wait a couple hours until the next beverage service but were offered tomato juice and another beverage. You are asked to prepare for landing 45 minutes prior to landing. I have never had to prepare for landing so early in a flight. Not necessarily a flight issue, but Guangzhou airport has a poor system for locating your connecting flights. There were 2 potential terminals and you had to walk to the beginning of either terminal to locate a flight information board. Then had to walk back to the other terminal if that was where your flight was located. Frustrating."
