Never renting from Avis AGAINPunti negativi:What can I say? One of the worst experiences I have ever had renting a car. I've been using Alamo and other companies for my previous trip but Avis seemed to provide a good deal this time around so I went with it. Booked the car on Friday morning, paid for three FULL days but mentioned that I might actually return the car by Sunday evening. However this did not happen due to heavy traffic on Sunday so I just decided to bring the car back on Monday morning - to find out that I was being charged a late fee, regardless of the fact that I had paid for three FULL days of rental and insurance. The guy I returned the car to had no idea as of why I was being charged, so I had to go the desk and try to explain the situation. Just to be told by a very rude Avis representative that "the computer" was saying that the car had to be returned by Sunday night and that "the computer" was always right. What a solid argument. I wonder why Avis doesn't let "the computer" run their entire business considering it's great power. On the other hand, the fact that I had paid for three actual days was just a minor detail for the representative, and only after arguing for half an hour I managed to get the charge removed.
