We had several issues. They try to upswell you when you get there. They told us the car we had rented had only enough room for two bags. Online it said it fit 5 bags. Then they said for $400 more for 10 days we could get the car that fit our luggage. We refused and said we would keep our original premium rental. We went to garage and they gave us a tiny sports car for 5 people. We made it work to save the extra money but it was very uncomfortable. We will not rent there again.Recensione del 23 ago 2023

We declined the insurance because we explained that we already had insurance through our visa. After ,36 hours of non sleep we did not read the fine print and trusted the integrity of the salesperson. Unfortunately she added the insurance and we were charged 279.92 for our 8 day rental. We feel we were taken advantage of by this person. Because if this we would not recommend this company to anyone and our review will not be favorable.Recensione del 17 ago 2023

Car was fantastic and we had no problems throughout the fortnight. However the wait for a car took an hour and a half. We were upgraded to an SUV as they had no small cars, this was free and we were very happy with this. However on our return we were charged for fuel even though I had filled the tank to 7/8 and the check in guy put 6/8. Also they tried to charge the wrong card.Recensione del 10 ago 2023

The cars windshield wipes were so old they did not wipe the windshield. The car was incredibly old. No back up camera which I’m pretty sure is required in cars legally since 2018. They wanted to charge me $150 to extend the rental 3 hours that was only $40/day. I will never use them againRecensione del 6 ago 2023

They have to me a price, but I finally paid the double for the car to include additional insurance and tolls unlimited. So for the next time I prefer to choose another rent car company that includes all the features in just one payment.Recensione del 27 lug 2023

They upcharged me to not get an EV. There was no indication on the reservation an EV was even a possibility, and considering the sparse state of charging infrastructure it really should have been noted. The upcharge was modest-$13/day, but still annoying, and honestly a bit of a bait-and-switch. If they had warned me in advance I’d have happily looked for charging stations along my route ahead of time, but it wasn’t prepared to take a risk without having done research beforehand.Recensione del 5 lug 2023

Terrible service at pick up in Orlando airport. We had to wait for an hour in line after a long day travelling internationally. Car did not have gps so we had to upgrade to a bigger car. GPS was out of date and new roads were not shown. In total it took US three hours to pick up car and leave airport. Very long, slow moving line at the counter at the Orlando Airport. It took 1.5-2 hours to get through the line. Looking at recent reviews, this seems to be the norm for Dollar/Thrifty at this location. Wish I would have read those reviews before booking. The line at the counter was horrible. No other rental company had it. 1 hour wait. The car options was poor and mostly limited by the cleanliness of the cars. My first time renting from Dollar and will probably default back to Avis.Recensione del 3 giu 2023
