Punti negativi: The noise from the plane and engines are quite loud, and you can feel the vibration resonating in your ears for the entire duration. No in flight entertainment because it is such a short flight. This flight left 30 minutes later than scheduled but worked out to my advantage because I had a 44 minute layover and had to be processed through TSA again.

Punti negativi: My flight out of Eureka/Arcata to San Francisco was cancelled as Penair filed bankruptcy. I had a connecting flight through SFO on Alaska, as Penair is Alaska Air's code share partner. I was first told I can get a flight through Crescent City 1 hr and change from Arcata/Eureka. After that, I was told those flights are also cancelled and they can only give me a refund. No offer to book me on United, which is the other airline that flights out of Eureka/Arcata. I was to take my daughter to the University at Humboldt and fly back to Los Angeles and the commitment was already made. I had to book the new flight on another airline myself and pay the extra fair cost. I can understand them filing bankruptcy, however, the service of assisting the committed passenger was not acceptable. Will not fly Alaska in the future.
A little bumpy but good

When I got to Denver airport I waited at ticket counter to get checked in for 40 minutes and no attendant at counter !! Not impressed at all !!! At Kearney airport no attendants available until I called them - when my luggage didn't arrive ! They were all outside - doing something- didn't even know I was still in the airport office ! I went behind counter to get phone numbers to call - to contact an attendant!!! Not a good day !!!!

A day late–on BOTH ends of trip!

Punti negativi: The flight was cancelled at 8:00pm the night before I was scheduled to fly out. I lost an entire day of my trip and a lot of money. I was booked on a flight for the following day 24 hours later. PenAir gave me a $200.00 voucher that I can only use if I buy a ticket and apply it towards the fare. There are no flights on PenAIr's system that are as low as the useless voucher they gave me.

Punti negativi: when I book I need a Email receipt and an itinerary IMMEDIATELY!!! I book lots of travel for work and I need receipts immediately to do my expenses. You did not provide that. Also I didn't get an itinerary because I didn't create a user account. Look, I don't want a relationship, I just want the service I paid for. Amazon sends a receipt immediately, why can't you? It's not rocket science. That said the lack of receipt and itinerary make it problematic with my accounting department, extra work for me and them. It is a strong disincentive to use your services.

PenAir assured I would make my connecting flight

Punti positivi: Tons of leg room! It's an older plane and they definitely don't make them like this anymore. The only reason I marked them down on entertainment was because there wasn't any haha. It was only a 45 minute flight though so.... they still offered drinks and snacks!

At the departure city, I had a flat package ~1/4 inch thick that easily fit flatly into the bottom of the overhead storage bin but did not fit in my carry on. The staff had me physically tie it to my backpack with string to avoid paying a $25 checked bag fee for my carry on (which would then allow me to take the flat package as my carry on). Seemed ridiculous for a flight that was only half full and for which they asked passengers to leave roller bags planeside prior to boarding anyways.

Punti negativi: Even though I had a reservation, confirmed by the person at the counter, she said the ticket was not validated at her computer. Therefore, I had to call Alaska Airlines to get it validated. It is fairly dumb that I have a confirmed reservation in my email, printed on a piece of paper and on the ticket agents terminal but I have to call the booking airline while holding up other passengers to get an internal computer system problem corrected for which I have no visibility or control over.

First experience was a GREAT experience
Punti positivi: Penair was outstanding and extremely helpful when I had to make a trip with my 82 year old mother. In Denver the agent at the counter accepted our bags several hours before our take-off so we didn't have to drag them around the airport. She was so helpful and compassionate. They were also wonderful about calling a golf cart to help get my mom from the terminal to the airplane. (It would have been way too far for her to walk.) I also flew from Scottsbluff to Denver on Penair and, again, I can't say enough good things about the staff and all their help and care for us both. I would DEFINITELY fly Penair again. I am so glad I was asked to do a survey.

Cold and horrible bath
