Punti negativi: First of all my sister had rented the car and I was the driver unable to pick up vehicle and Tony was no help and very rude. 2nd the next rear tire kept going low and we had to stop frequently to our air in the tire. We called a lost the tire issue and was told we needed to take it to Firestone and have the tire fixed or have them change the spare. There was no sense in Alamo sending someone out for just a tire. Well if that tire had blown out you would of been doing more than just a tire. I don’t feel it’s my job to fix the tire on a rental care but then again pick was terrible so why would I think custom service would be any better. Do not rent from Alamo ever

Additionally when explaining the purpose of my rental Herman Patton, not only attentively listened but, was helpful in guiding me to a vehicle that better suited my needs. His advice has proved to provide to me a safer, more economical , and appropriate rental choice. So much so that I have just extended the rental for another week.
Thanks again to all 4 of the staff, and I wish to reassert my opinion if it will help settle the issue of whether the agent claiming it was her 50th birthday was being truthful - doesn't look a day over 35.

Punti positivi: The person who processed my rental upon my arrival in Nashville, was very rude, humiliating and treated me and family as if he was better than us. This was my first time renting a car from Avis, and my experience was obnoxious. I would never ever rent from your company again, because I normally rent from Enterprise where am treated with respect and dignity!!! Your company need to train your workers to treat people with respect and dignity, no matter your race, religion or ethnics!!!

But had another (7 passenger XL SUV) like I rented. 30 more minutes they have me another one. Only for me to make the walk to see it's NOT the large SUV that had the capacity I requested and confirmed.

Punti negativi: Handwritten signs at Budget sent everyone to the Very Long Line at Avis. Obviously, Budget had reservations, they should have had enough staff to handle the crowd. Half of the line was sent out to the 'downstairs' station. Turns out we waited in the very hot and humid parking lot for 1 hour and 45 minutes before we received our rental and drove out of the parking lot. I had a reservation for $231. By the time I was charged for all the incidentals - the charges were $392. I will NOT be using Kayak nor Budget again in the future. Very frustrating.

Punti negativi: Car REKED of cigarette smoke. High-beams did not work well at all. GMC Terrain was so under-powered that accelerating onto highways was an uncomfortable proposition.

Punti negativi: Both front tires were worn and should be replaced. the right front tire had parts of the tread missing where I can see the steel belt underneath. Unfortunately I did not see this until after I had driven the vehicle off the premises. When I returned the vehicle I waited to speak to the attendant about this. I told him the tires were unsafe and should be replaced. I was not looking for a refund or credit, I was concerned about a blowout happing to the next driver.

Horrible Experience with Car rental company. Had to cancel reservation
Punti negativi: Just as preface, this happened on July 4th Weekend. We booked a car on Kayak with "unlimited mileage". When we got to the counter at Advantage, they mentioned that this only applies to residents outside of the local area, so we were told that we had to pay an extra $20 a day to get unlimited mileage. Needless to say, we were not happy, and we decided to go to another car rental company in the same area. We had to pay much more since we did not reserve it ahead of time. But I would rather pay more with a company I trust than to ever deal with Kayak or Advantage ever again! I was very disappointed!

When I reserved my vehicle it stated that I will have unlimited mileage but when I arrived to pick up the vehicle the man states that they have a new policy that only allows 260 miles a day because I was a resident of Tennessee. I told the guy that I was as driving to Miami and needed the unlimited plan. He basically told me sorry but I can't do anything about it. I called to speak with someone over the phone and she was even ruder than the man at the counter. Overall, I wouldn't recommend anyone to use their service. I ended up having to drive my own car to Miami not to mention it was a 1,000 miles away. I reserve my vehicle months and ahead of the new policy and they still wouldn't honor it.

Punti negativi: When I picked up the car it turned out the price was for a 1 day rental plus 2 extra hours vs 2 days. That is not what the initial info on line stated. In the end I only used the car for one day, but I was troubled by the misrepresentation.
Punti positivi: Chose Advantage for the very low rates. Easy pickup and drop off, and the car was new and very clean. Had to extend by two days and customer service was fairly efficient. Received the deposit refund quickly. No unexpected charges upon return.
Punti negativi: I reserved an intermediate and was given economy, which was very flimsy (had I realized immediately I would have gone back and complained but I didn't, so no saying whether or not they would have fixed it). When I called to extend my rental they quoted me 3 times my original rate for the extra days, and when I challenged them they immediately gave me the original rate.

Punti negativi: I didn't like the fact that when I arrived at the pickup location the reservation was for 150 miles and not the unlimited miles that I reserved on this website. The lady at the counter was able to get a reservation for me at Thrifty for a few more dollars. I reserved an Economy car but, when I arrived at Thrifty they only had a Compact. It wasn't very clean and the unlock buttons didn't work on the keyless remote. It wasn't very pleasant.
Painful process to get the keys...
Punti negativi: I waited a total of :45 mins as the first person in line (it built to 3 more behind me) for the guy at the counter to get keys to the couple in front of me....it was ridiculous and I will never use Advantage again. When I mentioned to the guy at the counter when I finally got to him he could care less he just wanted to ask me twenty questions about why I was in Nashville....the answers were, none of your damn business no small talk now buddy, give me my keys!

Dropped off in ATL at Avis, told to go to counter with no explanation why. At Avis counter, told car was Payless so had to then go to Payless contours on other floor. Payless agent was rude, never saying hello, thank you-poor CS!

I called to tell them and they didn't seem worried and at drop off no one cared. The car came off of a budget/Avis lot area so it was the same car they would have rented to us but for less money.
