Punti positivi: For a budget airline, the food is excellent as is the service. The seats are on the smallish side but not as bad as some more expensive options.

Punti negativi: Air conditioning at departure hall was not working properly. It feels rather humid while waiting for boarding.

Punti positivi: The flight i booked has 2 segments, both by Air Asia. However, when i arrived in KL, i was forced to exit the terminal, having to go thru immigration/custom, end up paying 2 separate luggage fees, lots of hessle. Since i never received Air Asia booking#, i was not able to check in, etc.
Punti negativi: I will avoid booking this way and for sure avoid booking Air Asia
Punti positivi: Quiet Zone well worth the $28. Could do with the crew reminding people it’s a QUIET zone though.

Operating long haul the same as short haul
Punti positivi: All set up for reasonably comfortable short haul flight and prices ok at similar to Thai Air
Punti negativi: Priced the same, but unlike the wonderful Thai Air (my only other long haul experience) my ticket price and 8hr flight didn't include any food (Thai Air had 2 complimentary meals) and no one told us we could pre order and pay for food, so missed out when it was brought round. They charge to rent blankets and pillows (free on TA) and couldn't even help me with a glass of drinking water other than offering to sell me a bottle but at $10 USD as they didn't have any change (TA provide complimentary bottled water plus comp tea & coffee. Think there needs to be clearer info/advice 're refreshments for customers on long flights like this

Ok for cheap flat seat

Punti negativi: Had layovers in Malaysia and ended up being charged $145 extra dollars because of a checked baggage (which was supposed to be included in our ticket already)
Osaka to Honolulu

Punti negativi: The air steward and stewardess were so noisy throughout the flight. I stood at the last row where it was close to where they sat and toilet. They took non stop and laughed literally loud. can you imagine the other way round - I am chatting loudly in the midnight and they are trying to get some sleep? They just didn't have professional mannerisms and service awareness.
Overpriced and too uncomfortable

Boarding crew on Sydney airport was worst
Punti negativi: At sydney airport airflot staff was doing boarding for air asia, and they wasted our 1:30 min atleast. I had flight from Syd to delhi, flight was via Kul so staff was asking us again and again for Malaysia visa. Also they didnt gave us Kul to delhi boarding pass. We called air asia senior then she came she allowed to go go on last moment. i told them many time we have transit only at KUL so we dont beed visa, they didnt have knowledge so they dont want to understand. Thanks god senior came and told them to give us boarding pass otherwise we gonna miss the flight. At kul airport also staff asked why u didnt get kul to del boarding from syd. We explained him and he issue boarding

Punti negativi: My flight was 2 hours late causing me to lose my connection ticket. This, because your crew did not do a proper pre-flight check and notice the emergency lighting was failing. Poor maintenance leads to tragedy and unneeded lateness. Making the cabin 16 degrees for 8 hours may sell rental blankets, but it makes people sick as well. Shame on you.
X for Xcellent flight
Punti positivi: Took X Air Asia from JAI DPS on flatbed. Excellent!
Punti negativi: The only problem was the attitude of the air crew when I asked them to help me put my luggage up. I am short - 150cm, no way I can put my carry on without help. It was not heavy, but their face showing dislike. Can’t they see that I am vertically challenged.
Punti negativi: The terms and conditions say that you are not permitted outside food or drinks, but none are provided. Phones are not permitted and there is no entertainment system in lieu of this.
Great flight to Honolulu
Punti positivi: Flight boarded a few minutes early and arrived in Honolulu 40 minutes ahead of schedule. I upgraded to the "quiet zone" area which was perfect, very minimal disturbance from the flight crew.
Punti negativi: The food was pretty bad. Especially when paying $15 for a meal. The portions were small and the rice was kind of dry. Maybe add a dessert to the meal might be worth the $15 price tag.
Punti positivi: Cost can't be beat, friendly service, reminded me of flights back in the 80's - 90's with no frills. A solid air service that most would find not up to par to their own personal standards. Travelers have been accustomed to getting things as standard over the decades of flying services offered in the past, so not getting them with this airline for free can be frustrating. However, for travelers that are very flexible and don't require much comforts, this airline provides exactly what you need..a cheap flight to your destination.
Punti negativi: The scheduled times for departure aren't very flexible, the check-in counter on return flight was extremely long even 3 hours in advance of flight departure, plan accordingly. Passengers can be grumpy because they expect more from the airline, not an airline for most who expect comfort and freebies.
Beware of extra charges!!

Punti negativi: $165usd for two 20kg (50lbs) bags on a 7hr flight for two passengers is ridiculous! Not being able to get free water on a 7hr flight is crazy! I can under short local flights having all these extra charges but long haul flights like most other carriers shld come With at least 1 free checked bag and at least free water or soft drinks on a flight.

Noisy environment, poor attitude service crews and bad timing for food
Punti negativi: I paid extra to sit at the quiet zone only to be disturbed all night by a crying baby. The stewardess are also not friendly and used fierce tone to ask us to turn off our phones. We ordered food for it to be our breakfast before arrival but the food was served at 1am. When asked if I could eat it later since I am really tired and wanted to rest, the stewardess just hush me to eat it now since later light will be off. It would be better if the food is served as breakfast before arrival.

Punti negativi: We paid for our checked baggage ahead of time but when we checked in they said our payment wasn’t in their system. We ended up having to pay again at the counter and the price was more than double for each bag! 7.5 hr flight and you have to pay for drinks (even water) and meals.

Will never use for long-haul again

Punti negativi: No food or drinks? What the hell is that? Not even a snack. I've flown with companies all across the world and everyone of them except you offers something free to eat. Also you switched our flights until they were right after one another. We got on a flight at 12 pm right after we ate lunch. We fly for four hours with no food. We get to the terminal and have to run through to catch our next flight so no food. Then fly another two hours with no food and end at 2 am still hungry. Offer something to eat to your customers, don't be a shitty airline.

Punti negativi: I don't understand how paying for checked bags ahead of time would be priced any differently than doing it at the check in counter, but the difference is exorbitant. It's a cheap airline for a reason and they get their money back by charging you for everything, including water during the flight. It's better to pay a little bit more for a real airline where standard things like carry ons, checked bags, water, and drinks come complimentary, especially for long flights.

Punti negativi: Lack of food online, wasn't made clear when booking that had to pay for a meal. Had to pay 10,000 nepalese ruppes just to get 2 of our small bags on. 15kg in total. That's around £80, very expensive. Tried as much as I could to pay online for baggage but was going around in circles. Felt that for the price of the flight paying and extra £80 for 2 small bags was alot of money.
