Punti positivi: Due to a hurricane, I actually missed my original flight date, but Aer Lingus allowed me to rebook (2 days later!) at no cost, which was really great of them. Absolutely no wait at check-in and very good service there. Got window seats on both legs of flight, with no one in my row. Meals on first flight leg were very good. Crew did a good job and made me confident of their work. Both flight legs arrived early. Everything went well. Very good airline - I will certainly fly with them again.
Punti negativi: It seems that there was no snack or beverage on the second leg of flight (ca. 3 hours), but I probably just slept through it. Price seemed high for this route and season, but it was much better than any other airline: flying has become expensive in the COVID era. But Aer Lingus keeps us moving ahead. Great job!

Punti negativi: Kayak is a horrible company and not easy to work with. They have screwed me royally and I will say nothing but bad things about them. They should not even be in business the way they have handled my situation including hanging up on me multiple times and changing the rules for flight changes, etc. Saying I am unhappy is an understatement.

Punti negativi: Our flight seemed to have only 1 toilet at the back of the plane that passengers were allowed to use so there was always a line. There was a second toilet in the crew area at the back and it seemed that they could have offered passengers to use that.

As I was busy with some construction work at home I thought I would check in at the airport. Opodo advisors were not helpful on the phone and I ended up missing a family get together due to their incompatibility.

Punti positivi: Aer Lingus crew are great. Probably some of the nicest people in the world. Lightly loaded so boarding was quick and staff were lenient about cabin baggage.
Punti negativi: My 757 is among the oldest aircraft in service, and it shows. Noisy and every surface is well worn. Seats are substandard in the industry for a long flight. Granted the flight was lightly filled, so that made it a bit nicer.

Punti negativi: Boarding a plane this size at gate c21 ridiculous due to lack of space. Business class cabin is dated and seats not so comfortable. Food was mediocre at best.

Punti negativi: The only complaint I have was the bag dropoff counter. There was one person, checking in 9 airlines! A second person came after awhile, and they were amazing, polite and very efficient. But the wait to get to the counter was not acceptable. Even tho' we were fourth in line, they began calling people from the back for another, I guess, earlier flight, different airline. Understandable, but frustrating for those of us who arrived early, but had to wait. Otherwise, flying Aer Lingus was a pleasure.

Punti negativi: They don’t hold bassinet seats for families traveling with infants! They sell them as extended leg room seats now. Disappointing.
Punti negativi: The check in in the web site was not working the previous day. The check in at the airport in rome was hoorible... 1 hour and 20 minutes on line to be able to check in. Only two clercks workig in a very croded space .

Punti negativi: Headphone jack still requires an adapter. Free headphones are very uncomfortable and don’t sound great. Just give out free adapters or change the jacks please. Announcements were super loud in the headphones.

Punti negativi: Flight was delayed once we had boarded, so we had to sit at the gate for about 2 hours, which was not the crew's fault of course, however, they could have offered drinks. Once we finally got in the air, they only offered purchasable snacks in a way that was confusing--and did not even come through the cabin with complimentary drinks. Given the circumstances, and the fact the time in our seats was extended by over two hours, there could have been some better service from the actual flight attendants. It should have been clearly stated at the beginning of the flight, and once more when we were in the air, that no complimentary drinks were going to be handed out, and if we wanted anything, we would need to purchase it. I wouldn't have minded purchasing if I had known that was my only option.
