Disappointing customer service: Never got an answer from Avis Costa Rica on the additional insurances despite few reminders. Cancelled the car rental booking and chose another companyRecensione del 14 mar 2023

The car was great, clean and had a full tank. The efficiency of pickup and drop off is not very good. A lot of employees running around everywhere but only 1 at the counter.Recensione del 27 feb 2023

Bad customer service. Schedule for dropping the car was very inconvenient and caused me more dollar’s expenses. Very bad experience not recommend it.Recensione del 27 gen 2023

The 35$/per day mandatory insurance and other fees should be included in the listed price. Extremely deceptive marketing tacticsRecensione del 27 gen 2023

The pick up process should have a separate queue for people with a reservation. I had to wait 1.5 hours as 3 people in front of me didn’t have reservations. Drop off however was fast and efficient.Recensione del 20 set 2022

Do not rent from Avis in Costa Rica. They were not responsible or reliable when my rental car broke down. My family was stranded for 5 hours on the side of the road, and even after getting towed Avis continued to be negligent. Worst rental car experience of my life.Recensione del 11 mag 2022

Upon arrival with a prepaid rental agreement through a third part I was told a car was not available for me. After being made to wait for an hour, a car was found. However, in the stress and confusion of the situation, I did not realize that Avis had charged me $3000 on top of the already prepared full amount of $1000. The matter is still not resolved three weeks later. Contacting Avis has been impossible. Avoid at all costs. This company ruined my trip.Recensione del 10 mag 2022

Excellent service in every respect. The price seemed high, but that was the best I could get at the time. My suggestion to anyone traveling extensively off the main highways is to get an SUV or other vehicle made for off-road driving.Recensione del 26 apr 2022

Renter beware: count on your final price being about double what you are quoted. Costa Rica manages to slap on a number of mandatory fees and unavoidable insurance policies that shoot the price up exponentially.Recensione del 10 apr 2022
