Punti positivi: Alamo representative Debbie at the Spokane airport was very friendly and helpful. She assisted me with changing my reserved vehicle type. The vehicle was wonderful, so comfortable and easy to drive.
Punti negativi: I changed my requested vehicle type at the counter, which cost an additional $134.00. This was about $50.00 higher than if I had made the reservation that day, and even higher than other rental companies at the airport. Because I would have had a $100.00 fee to cancel my original reservation, I choose just to pay for the higher than average upgrade fee. Taught me a lesson to only reserve no fee cancellation vehicles.

Punti negativi: I drove a 2017 Dodge Charger with 2000 miles. Overall the car was great, but the USB ports would work off and on. This was frustrating and was hard when I needed to charge my phone. Also the main screen froze once and I had to pull over and turn the car off and back on. When it froze I was unable to control the volume, A/C etc. This must be a glitch that Dodge needs to address.

Enterprise wouldn't rent to me

Huge ripoff and we will NEVER use them again. The guy working at the Spokane Hertz seemed downright happy to hit us with the insane fee. Criminal.

Punti positivi: Ice on windows at pickup took a while to get off until an assistant arrived. No clear direction on where to park upon return.
Punti negativi: I was extremely disappointed in the mannerism of the check out counter person when dropping off the car. VERY RUDE....did not help me at all and charged me double the price. The bill was suppose to be 67.00 and I was charged 138.00 because he fill it with gas. I told him I went to the gas station and didn't find the button for the gas or couldn't open the tank, I had a receipt and proof I was there and he said..."WELL, you should of looked on the inside door'. I told him I did and he threw a receipt at me before ending the discussion. I said 'what is this'? He said, 'YOUR BILL' and walked away. I told him a little under 3/4 a tank and he said, "I CHARGED YOU FOR A HALF OF A TANK". I rent a car practically everyday. Sorry Hertz...last straw for me.
Last week, it was another charge for 26.00 for gas when my TANK was FULL...it was a surprised added on 3 days later. I emailed Hertz regarding the surprise charge twice and never did get a response. I AM DONE WITH SUCH A LOW PROFESSIONAL COMPANY

Asked for a mid-size which they didn't have. They offered a Kia Forte which is too small. The manager offered to charge approximately $100 for an upgrade to a Subaru Impreza which is the same size as the Hyundai Elantra we had booked. The manager was NOT HELPFUL and was the only person on duty for both Thrifty and Budget. We went to the next booth to HERTZ rental, explained what had happened at Thrifty and they matched the price we had booked online and provided us with a Toyota Camry XSE for the same price as the midsize car (Hyundai Elantra) that Thrifty didn't have in stock. Went back and supposedly canceled the rental through the Thrifty manager. Still not for sure if they cancelled it or not. VERY POOR SERVICE!! I am retired and do not recommend Spokane and the Thrifty manager!!! He is NOT customer service orientated and does not care about the customers!! Very disappointed in our treatment, however, THANK YOU HERTZ!!!

They did not have the vehicle which was rented on line and tried to substitute with a smaller car that would not accommodate my wife, the Kia Forte. I tried to work with them on an upgrade, however at approximately $100 more for a car which should have replaced the Hyundai Elantra we had contracted for, this was not unacceptable. I will NOT USE THRIFTY in the future. I have used them in the past and never had an experience like this!! It was totally unacceptable.

Currently trouble-shooting this with Thrifty and posted on Kayak's FB page already about the trouble. Very unhappy to not be paying the originally agreed-upon fee.

Tried to extend the booking online, could not find the reservation with the itinerary provided. Your 800 number to call was not in service! Called Thrifty the day before, they could not find the reservation.

Punti negativi: I was given a compact car when I paid for an suv. Customer service by Zak at pickup was terrible. Told me I can go somewhere else if I don’t like what they give me. Wouldn’t rent from them again.
Punti positivi: online rental process was easy, but then when picking up the car, got charged a bunch of extra money for larger vehicle, despite having reserved the large SUV. Currently trouble-shooting this with Thrifty and posted on Kayak's FB page already about the trouble. Very unhappy to not be paying the originally agreed-upon fee.
Punti negativi: Kayak supporting me through this rental debacle and handling it with Thrifty location and refunding me the over-charge. Kayak could be better at the support of unhappy customer claims.
Punti negativi: I was charged $52 at the counter for extending less than 24hrs, the reason been that Alaska cancelled the flights on the day (due to smoke). This DOUBLE the daily rate of the booking.
Tried to extend the booking online, could not find the reservation with the itinerary provided. Your 800 number to call was not in service! Called Thrifty the day before, they could not find the reservation.
Punti positivi: We actually cancelled our reservation and did not rent from Thrifty after calling to ask some questions about adding my daughter as a driver.
Punti negativi: I was put on hold for a very long time after not even having someone pick up the first time I called. The woman I spoke to was pretty rude and very unhelpful when she finally did pick up. I managed to find a better deal through Costco travel with a much better company. I was really disappointed in Thrifty and that whole experience.

Punti negativi: Had Impala or similar listed on website at booking, no impala nor anything similar offered had to pay for upgrade to suit out original needs, scammed.
