Punti negativi: Alamo was closed when we arrived in Kansas City. The rental car company to the right next counter over had to handle the paperwork. I had already booked and paid online for an easy pick up. They made us jump through hoops while my 90 year old parents had to wait for us.

Punti positivi: Everything!! The car was clean, customer service was very clear and nice to work with during the process.
Punti negativi: Me having a mobile app to track my reservation better. I had to search through emails and track down information. This is a problem for me not with the service. Alamo was amazing and I will definitely rent from them again. Thank you

Punti positivi: The staff was nice, but there were not enough so wait times were long
Punti negativi: I got a car that was dirty (inside and out) and that WAS NOT FULL OF GAS, but was down almost a quarter tank. When I pointed this out, I just got a shrug. Bet if I returned it down a quarter tank the reaction would be different

Punti negativi: They let me close any vehicle in the line so i chose a mini van. It was perfect for my needs, clean and new. Return was super quick at the MCI Airport. Never had to wait at all for the shuttle bus. Shuttle was about 5 min from the airport.

Punti positivi: It went quickly. The car was optioned up.
Punti negativi: They try to nickel and dime you over everything. They said there was a $5 (approx.) charge to activate the satellite radio. When I got in the car, satellite was on. I doubt they could turn it off. THE WORST: At drop off, no one was manning the return booth. They had a sign that directed us to leave the car unlocked and the keys in it. The sign said that I responsible for the car for the the next 48 hours. UM, NO. What was I going to do? Should I cancel my flight so I can babysit the car? Should I find someone else to take the car and return it later when someone is there and pay for the extra days? They don’t get to lay that responsibility on me by deciding not to have adequate staffing.

Punti negativi: Very disappointed, at time of pick up I paid ahead for gas, it was not explained to me whatsoever that the price may change depending on the size of tank of the car, I had a midsize and in the midsize parking area was a pick up truck, upon return the truck because of the size of tank I was charged almost an additional $25.00 -$30+, (i’d have to actually calculate it with the receipt), the check-in of vehicle specialist recommend I talk to the front desk, I went to the front desk shared my displeasure. The front desk assistant was the same lady that checked me in 3 to 4 days prior and gave no real concern I told her it was very misleading And that she had not shared with me whatsoever the pay a head for gas would be depending on vehicle and size of tank. I ended up spending maybe close to $60 and only drove 162 miles. Very very disappointing with how Alamo handled this, I will choose to not rent from Alamo again. Clerk shared there’s nothing she would do or could do. Very disappointed customer, William Neef
