Punti positivi: We enjoyed staying in the heritage part of the hotel. It really did feel like going back in time. The suite was very comfortable with everything you'd expect from a hotel of this level. The staff in front of house were extremely helpful.

Punti positivi: Storico albergo coloniale (hanno soggiornato Kipling, Hesse, SOmerset Moehen ecc) che ha mantenuto e preservato la sua bellezza victoriana con enormi stanze di 60 m2 con delle terazze sul mare e servizi di prima qualita'. Ottima posizine e qualita'-prezzo. Generose colazioni e cene a buffet a soli 10 euro per persona! Ottimo massagiatore....

Punti positivi: It is truly a beautiful resort and looks exactly like the pics. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was excellent-everything you could imagine and from every where in the world. Spice Cafe-excellent all round-food, seating and staff. Wired Internet in room was very good and high speed, was able to download pretty fast. Foot massage by the pool vey nice, staff friendly and funny. Watersports, although a little expensive, fun and entertaining. Near wonderful restaurants outside of resort and tourist stands selling variety of stuff from fruit to swim wear and equipment, and also local crafts. Also not far from other fun stuff like spice garden, botanical garden, etc. But most of all just love the plush green gardens.

Punti positivi: Very comfortable, great location for water sports and nice swimming pool. It may look old from outside, but you`ll be surprised(in a pleasant way) how nice and new the room is. There is buggy shuttle to Rasa Sayang Hotel. You may want to have dinner at Rasa Sayang using the shuttle service, and it`s great to talk a walk.

Punti positivi: I probably like just about everything and anything at Golden Sands Resort by Shangri-La. The staff are just so courteous, friendly and accommodating, and when I mean the staff, it is at all levels; from the chambermaid to the General Manager. The complimentary use of the internet at the lobby was such a big plus plus because it helped a lot for a holiday business traveller like me who doesn't carry a laptop around!

The hotel is located in the middle of the night market and is currently under renovation (almost completed and looks great). The pictures for the rooms in the website reflects the hotel before the renovation.

Punti positivi: very convienent location. Night market just outside the hotel. shopping area is few minutes away. Penang Times Square which is the new apartment cum shopping complex is very new, only a few stores open. A bus stop just outside Hotel. Bus interchange is nearby. Air con bus available to take you to local attractions. Notice in room indicate Hotel going for reno next year.

Punti positivi: It is ideally located with amenities within its vicinity, and the environment is quite and peaceful. It is also near to Penang Int'l Airport, and the relocation of the of Inter State Bus Terminal to Sungei Nibong makes the hotel a favourite among travellers.

Punti positivi: The staff were helpful. When I checked in the room I was given had a strong smell of bleach emanating from the bathroom. I requested a room change and was immediately moved to another room. I also accidentally locked myself out once and reception provided me a new key card free of charge to once again access my room. This is a nice hotel that is quite central and close to the touristy part of Georgetown as well as the Esplanade in the north. Breakfast was quite a spread.

Punti positivi: The hotel is walking distance away from most historical attractions in Goergetown. There is no need to take any transportation if you only plan to tour around the old city of Goergetown.

Punti positivi: bellissimo hotel a georgetown, forse l'edificio più alto della città, non a caso all'ultimo piano certo il ristorante a buffet con il pavimento girevole, mentre mangi a volontà si può gustare il panorama a 360 gradi. camere pulite e spaziose, accessoriate di tutto, la connessione è a pagamento ma non è cara, parcheggio privato all'interno dell'hotel è gratuito, ottima anche la colazione sempre a buffet!
