Connection time in Milan airport. 45 minutes from landing to departing. Only 10 minutes from landing to be at departing gate!

Alitalia gets a bad rap, but I thought this flight was excellent, and a comfortably way to travel the 13 hour flight from Rome to Los Angeles. Cabins recently refurbished on 777 thanks to Etihad Airways investment. Food, and plenty of it, was excellent. Wide selection of wines. Choice between freshly made American coffee or Espresso (from Lavazza). Lie flat seats are way more comfortable than KLM. Esoteric selection of documentaries and Italian movies. Leather seats and color scheme is elegant. Also, business class lounge (Alitalia House) at Rome Fiumincino serves delicious freshly cut Italian cold cuts, cheeses, pastrries, and has an actual barista vs a machine. You don't get the sense that they are cutting corners, which is probably why the airline keeps losing money, but that is to the benefit of the traveler (for now). Service friendly. For nonstop to this part of Europe, or for connections to Southern Europe, it may be my number one Skyteam choice.

Check in is extremely unorganized and long lines at Sky Priority, but someone finally directed me to the VIP check in in the back, which you can use if you are flying Business Class or have Elite status. This was not indicated anywhere, though, so make sure you ask or look for it if there is a long line at check in. Then, the gate is very, very far. Not sure why they had me check in at Terminal 1 as the gate is in Terminal 3. Make sure to allow for plenty of time, and maybe see if it's possible to check in at Terminal 3, which may well save time. But for a 14-hour flight in total comfort, the trade off was worth it.

The woman at the check in desk worked patiently with us until she found us an alternate route. We werare given food and hotel vouchers to get us through the night.

Our British Airways flight was downgraded to a smaller airplane and we were not informed of this until we were in an hour in to waiting in a very long line to check in at the airport. We were unable to check in online the night before but not told why, and then we were unable to check in at the electronic kiosk at the airport but also not told way. When we got into the very confused and long line at the check-in desk 2.5 hours before our scheduled departure, we waited for almost an hour before anybody told us what was going on. They then told us that the flight has been downgraded to a smaller airplane, and that the agents were individually looking into rerouting passengers as they came up to the desk. Yeah sure does that the flight would not leave until everything was resolved and that people who had purchased their flights earlier would have priority. We then waited another 1.5 hours before it was our turn to speak to an agent at the desk. She told us that we would definitely not be getting on the flight because we had not checked in in time, which we had been unable to do. She then worked on rerouting us and offered us what sounded like an excellent flight option direct to Amsterdam on KLM the following day, however when we went to KLM to check in for the flight they said it was overbooked and we could go standby but we would not be guaranteed seats. We went back to her again and she eventually booked us on a Delta flight through Salt Lake City leaving the following day. We are currently in Salt Lake awaiting our flight to Amsterdam. This gets us to Amsterdam 12 hours after planned, Shortening our vacation with friends and causing us to miss events that have been planned. We are very upset that there was no information provided to us earlier and that British Airways did not, as is customary, first seek volunteers to take later flights, before bumping people off due to a lack of seats on their available plane. Instead they gave priority to people that had paid more money to check in with priority. We booked our flights 3 1/2 months ahead of time and feel that we were grossly AND unnecessarily put out by the actions and lack of communication throughout the process with British Airways.

Nice seats! Flight tracker. Our flight in the way home was cancelled due to bad weather and although we had to queue for some time all the information we needed about what to do about food, hotels, travel, etc was given to us along with a new flight the next day with seats together. First time I've had a flight cancelled and was impressed with the service I received (now got to try and claim our expenses back so fingers crossed that goes ok).

The curtain that cuts off premium economy getting swooshed across in front of us.

I feel like the overall product is so devalued at BA these days. It just doesn't feel classy anymore. As opposed to Lufthansa, which is an example of a European carrier that cares about passenger comfort and experience. Also the typical circling of LHR to get a slot is annoying and makes me want to avoid BA.

1. Plane engine set fire while taking off... leaking fuel. 2. My bag fee was waived, but the next day after being grounded and put in a cheap hotel for the night, I was RECHARGED $100. 3. They knew my flight left at 9pm, still gave me ONLY 1 hotel voucher so I was kicked out of the hotel at 12pm with NOWHERE to go for NINE HOURS with 125lbs of luggage. 4. They provided a good voucher, but the cheap hotel they put me in didn't have a kitchen, USELESS. 5. The flight was LATE getting to London the next day and I missed my BRITISH Airway connecting flight to Thailand. Had to wait another 7 HOURS to get a flight out. 6. Terrible service, over priced and rude agents. The agent told me " I don't know who waived your fee yesterday, but I'm not." Cold, considering the plane I was on the day before was shooting fire about to explode. 7. I was rebooked no choice of seating or consideration.

Personale gentile e disponibile come sempre.

Con Alitalia siamo purtroppo arrivati a economie di scala, con servizi scadenti a livello di low cost , ma con prezzo biglietto più che "high cost"

Come sempre il personale é gentile e disponibile.

La densità dei sedile e cioe la capacita dell'aeromobile di trasportare piu passeggeri non é indice di redditivita.I sedili Alitalia in economica sono disumani per tratte lunghe. Meglio sarebbe avere 5 cm in piu alle ginocchia.

For nonstop to this part of Europe, or for connections to Southern Europe, it may be my number one Skyteam choice.

Crew didn't reach middle of plane with Food & Beverage. Lots of fussy/serving of premium passengers but economy not really looked after. Was bashed into 3 times by same member of crew walking up aisle and not once apologised.

Late BA flight made sure I had to wait 7 hours to catch and EVA air flight. I want my money back. I paid 1000 to flight British Airways not to be crammed on a flight as a show away. Super uncomfortable seat on EVA and a terrible experience. I fell on the plane.

I was traveling by British airways flight BA271 on 13 December 2017. The plane is old but comfortable. I was looking for USB pots I can't find it. Helpful crew and flight comfortable and landing was perfect. British always need to improve. Thanks

The woman at the check in desk worked patiently with us until she found us an alternate route. We werare given food and hotel vouchers to get us through the night.

Our British Airways flight was downgraded to a smaller airplane and we were not informed of this until we were in an hour in to waiting in a very long line to check in at the airport. We were unable to check in online the night before but not told why, and then we were unable to check in at the electronic kiosk at the airport but also not told way. When we got into the very confused and long line at the check-in desk 2.5 hours before our scheduled departure, we waited for almost an hour before anybody told us what was going on. They then told us that the flight has been downgraded to a smaller airplane, and that the agents were individually looking into rerouting passengers as they came up to the desk. Yeah sure does that the flight would not leave until everything was resolved and that people who had purchased their flights earlier would have priority. We then waited another 1.5 hours before it was our turn to speak to an agent at the desk. She told us that we would definitely not be getting on the flight because we had not checked in in time, which we had been unable to do. She then worked on rerouting us and offered us what sounded like an excellent flight option direct to Amsterdam on KLM the following day, however when we went to KLM to check in for the flight they said it was overbooked and we could go standby but we would not be guaranteed seats. We went back to her again and she eventually booked us on a Delta flight through Salt Lake City leaving the following day. We are currently in Salt Lake awaiting our flight to Amsterdam. This gets us to Amsterdam 12 hours after planned, Shortening our vacation with friends and causing us to miss events that have been planned. We are very upset that there was no information provided to us earlier and that British Airways did not, as is customary, first seek volunteers to take later flights, before bumping people off due to a lack of seats on their available plane. Instead they gave priority to people that had paid more money to check in with priority. We booked our flights 3 1/2 months ahead of time and feel that we were grossly AND unnecessarily put out by the actions and lack of communication throughout the process with British Airways.

Alitalia gets a bad rap, but I thought this flight was excellent, and a comfortably way to travel the 13 hour flight from Rome to Los Angeles. Cabins recently refurbished on 777 thanks to Etihad Airways investment. Food, and plenty of it, was excellent. Wide selection of wines. Choice between freshly made American coffee or Espresso (from Lavazza). Lie flat seats are way more comfortable than KLM. Esoteric selection of documentaries and Italian movies. Leather seats and color scheme is elegant. Also, business class lounge (Alitalia House) at Rome Fiumincino serves delicious freshly cut Italian cold cuts, cheeses, pastrries, and has an actual barista vs a machine. You don't get the sense that they are cutting corners, which is probably why the airline keeps losing money, but that is to the benefit of the traveler (for now). Service friendly. For nonstop to this part of Europe, or for connections to Southern Europe, it may be my number one Skyteam choice.

Check in is extremely unorganized and long lines at Sky Priority, but someone finally directed me to the VIP check in in the back, which you can use if you are flying Business Class or have Elite status. This was not indicated anywhere, though, so make sure you ask or look for it if there is a long line at check in. Then, the gate is very, very far. Not sure why they had me check in at Terminal 1 as the gate is in Terminal 3. Make sure to allow for plenty of time, and maybe see if it's possible to check in at Terminal 3, which may well save time. But for a 14-hour flight in total comfort, the trade off was worth it.

Check-in was a zoo. The agents were more interested in gossiping and were constantly on the phone or running in and out of their stations. It took nearly an hour to get through the 10 people ahead of us. And then we were told that my 1 bag would cost $53 to check-in and that I would have to go to another counter in a far away part of the airport to pay...and we had 20 minutes before boarding. Afger running to the cashier, we were told that she had no time and that we should go back to the agent to pay! We ran back and paid, then went to look for our gate. It was finally listed as Gate 12. We got though security ok and got into the line for Gate 12. It was more like a scrum tan a line. Nobod seemed to be doing anything when all at once we saw people boarding. We went to the gate but were told that our flight was boarding at Gate 10!!! WTF??? Gate 12 listed our flight number and Gate 10 listed another flight, but we did as were told and boarded via Gate 10. None of other passengers knew what the hell was going on but we all made it to Rome along with our baggage. We will NEVER fly Alitalia again.

Connection time in Milan airport. 45 minutes from landing to departing. Only 10 minutes from landing to be at departing gate!

Crew didn't reach middle of plane with Food & Beverage. Lots of fussy/serving of premium passengers but economy not really looked after. Was bashed into 3 times by same member of crew walking up aisle and not once apologised.

La densità dei sedile e cioe la capacita dell'aeromobile di trasportare piu passeggeri non é indice di redditivita.I sedili Alitalia in economica sono disumani per tratte lunghe. Meglio sarebbe avere 5 cm in piu alle ginocchia.

Late BA flight made sure I had to wait 7 hours to catch and EVA air flight. I want my money back. I paid 1000 to flight British Airways not to be crammed on a flight as a show away. Super uncomfortable seat on EVA and a terrible experience. I fell on the plane.

I feel like the overall product is so devalued at BA these days. It just doesn't feel classy anymore. As opposed to Lufthansa, which is an example of a European carrier that cares about passenger comfort and experience. Also the typical circling of LHR to get a slot is annoying and makes me want to avoid BA.

Nice seats! Flight tracker. Our flight in the way home was cancelled due to bad weather and although we had to queue for some time all the information we needed about what to do about food, hotels, travel, etc was given to us along with a new flight the next day with seats together. First time I've had a flight cancelled and was impressed with the service I received (now got to try and claim our expenses back so fingers crossed that goes ok).

The curtain that cuts off premium economy getting swooshed across in front of us.
