The Level at Meliá Caribe Beach

Since I travel with my family and used different rooms depending on the size of the group during the period I stayed, here is the summary of my whole stay: Kudos to the people that work there. Staff was really nice and friendly and willing to accommodate your request. Premises are beautiful. Extensive green areas with plenty of vegetation and tons of palm trees. There are several swimming pools. We stayed at The Level which has a nice private pool. There is also a pool for small children, which was nice too. The beach areas were beautiful with bar service and food. Golf carts take you anywhere you want to go within the complex. Villas were modern and nicely decorated. Bathroom was clean. Bathrobe and sleepers were comfy. The A/C works really well. SPA area at The Level Adults only was really beautiful. I only wish they would pamper you more (like offering tea before or after your massage). There was a lot of food with several buffet restaurants where you have a lot of choices available. But you need be careful with you food choice.

Nothing stands out or was memorable. With so much food available, it seems to me they use left overs for another meal or day. Many members of my family, even children, got food poison (I do not need to give details on how bad it was, but needed to go to the doctor). Fruit Juices had color but not much taste; it seems they mix the fruit with too much water; you ended up drinking a watery beverage. Coffee (Cappuccino) was almost room temperature; I'd prefer it warmer. There were limited amenities at the bathroom and not enough for 3 adults sharing a room. You would think that soap, shower cap would be there when you arrive, but there were none. However, cleaning staff took note and deliver. The bathroom was huge; but for such a huge bathroom, the space dedicated to the shower was really small. The sofa bed in the rooms saw better days; it is not suitable for an adult. I share the Grand Suite for some of the days and, even though it is supposed to accommodate 3 adults, it can only accommodate two adults sleeping comfortably.. the adult sleeping on the sofa will not be comfortable (it may only accommodate young children).. however, to solve this, the hotel provided an extra bed for the 3rd adult.

They put me in a room next to the lobby next to blasting music every night 9-12pm.
