Tioga Extended Stay Hotel

Location is great, centrally located in the heart of this small town. The building is very unique, and is definitely one of the more unique hotels you'll stay in. Parking is pretty much door front as long as you arrive after 4PM. Other reviews said parking was limited, but we had no issues street side. In other reviews we heard the steam heat was noisy. We just heard an occasional click from the pipes, nothing bothersome. Breakfast was provided, and is the normal hotel waffle / cereal / fruit offerings. Bed was very comfortable, and the flat screen TV in such an old facility was a nice benefit. Just a note... If you're coming to Chanute for a weekend, be sure to check out all of the old shops downtown, along with some decent restaurants, a museum, and a four-plex movie theater all within walking distance.

Very few complaints. The on-site restaurant is closed. Not a big deal, but would have been a nice touch. The elevator is old and slow, but gets the job done. The biggest complaint would be the shower temp varies a bit during the course of a shower. Be close to the temperature knobs. None of these were big enough issues for us to not consider the hotel again.
