Hotel was very nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything in French Quarter was a short walk including Jackson Square. Would stay here again.
Nice suite style room, good staff, location
They were performing some work to the facade of the hotel. At 9:00 am they were literally right outside our room pounding with hammers. I looked out the window and a worker on scaffolding was right outside of our window. Had my girlfriend been in a state of disrobe, he would have been able to tell were all of her freckles are. 9:00am....on a Saturday....in New Orleans....in the Quarter. I had been out late drinking the night before, so you can imagine a 9:00 wake up call with a hammer was most unexpected....and un-welcome. No mention of the construction was made during our check in.
My friends and I ended up here last minute when our original plans to stay somewhere else didn't pan out. We were a little stressed when we got there given that we were far from home in California and had to find this place last minute in an unknown city. But from the valet to the front desk, the staff was super friendly and helpful and made it so easy for us. Our room was clean and well decorated. In fact, the whole hotel is very nice and a great value for your money. On top of that, it's in the perfect location in the French quarter. if I ever find myself in New Orleans again, I'll definitely be staying here.
There was only one thing and very minor. Being that it is the French quarter and so close to bourbon street, my friends and I had a late night. We knew we were going to want to sleep in and take our time getting ready in the morning, so I called the front desk to see about a late check-out. They said It was perfectly fine we just had to put the do not disturb sign on the door and be out by 1. At 10:45, housekeeping came knocking on the door. We yelled no thank you and then we could hear her talking to another employee about how we weren't supposed to be there. Then at 12:30, they came back again as we were preparing to leave. It wasn't a huge deal, but I think maybe the late check-out policy should be better communicated with the cleaning staff.
The staff was awesome, every person we encountered at the front desk and valet was in a great mood and extremely helpful.
Great staff and location
We were right in the middle of everything. All we had to do was walk out of the hotel and we were right there. The rooms were awesome. Way more than I was expecting. The staff was great. We will definitely have them on the top of our list when we return.
The door separating the bedroom from the living room area. The bathroom was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable
The location was great: close enough to Bourbon and Canal Streets so I was near the action, but removed enough so that noise was not a problem. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had very good water pressure.
Housekeeping heads for the hills around 2 or so, so if your room is made by then you are out of luck.
Friendly staff, very close to Bourbon Street.
No locks on bedroom and bathroom doors
The hotel is right around the corner from Bourbon St, which made it very convenient.
Everything this is a wonderful place. Besides 2 things . But would defiantly stay again
The elevators need to be a little quicker. They are very slow. And our door would not open good unless you shook the handle just right. Something was wrong with the locking mechanism
It's location in the French Quarter, but off of Bourbon Street.
The hotel overbooked and relocated us to a sister facility in Covington, 26 miles away, for our first night! This was extremely inconvenient and obviously not where we wanted to be. They said they would not charge us for that night, but I have not yet received the credit. This was the least they could do, yet they did not offer any other compensation. It will definitely make me think twice before booking another stay with Marriott.
