Lake Havasu City is a city surrounding a desert lake, an oasis of relaxation and recreation along the western border of Arizona. Born from the overflow of the 1938 Parker Dam, Lake Havasu is a manmade reservoir of the Colorado River that caters to spring breakers and general vacationers all year round. During the day young and old spend their time along the water or in the water, participating in various lake activities, and when the sun goes down the masses gravitate towards the many restaurants, bars and clubs. In addition to many newer landmarks, Lake Havasu City is also home to the famous London Bridge, shipped from London stone by stone and rebuilt, each stone placed in its original position.
