For bikers and hikers in Western South Dakota, the Centennial Trail offers more than a hundred miles of beautiful scenery, fauna and wildlife. The main trail stretches through Black Hills National Forest, from Bear Butte State Park to Wind Cave National Park or vice versa depending on where you start and where you end. There are many entry points onto the trail, and many smaller paths that divert from the main natural thoroughfare. Near the path visitors can participate in a number of outdoor activities such as fishing and horseback riding and bird watching, and many campgrounds sit near the edge of the trail.
