Barnstable, a small city located in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, has become one of the most desirable destinations for vacationers to this area. Within the city are several small villages, all lovely in their own way. Having been settled early on in the United State's colonial history (around 1636), Barnstable has always had an old (or should we say olde?) air to it, with its quaint architecture and humble natural settings. Thanks to the great landscape, and the flow of the railroad and tourist industries over the last hundred years or so, Barnstable is a major hub.
